"Yeah, they're fun," Jaken admitted, thinking that, if he'd met them a few minutes earlier, he might have jumped on Traci's back for a lift, "And Miss Jenevive knows I came," he added, crossing fingers behind his back as they stepped in. The Foxlike youth, only different from most of his people in that he was Orange and white with absolutely no black fur at all, looked at those who were already there. "Miss, um, Seena and people I don't know." He leaned over and muttered "I don't think that's an Earth Dog," to Rika behind a hand.
Rika nodded, taking Jaken at his word."
Good. I'm glad you had fun." She said with a smile before he then whispered to her. "
I'm aware of that, Jaken. You know it's rude to mention someone behind their back.." She replied, turning a little stern. "
..Let's just focus on the debrief."

"Thank you for coming, everyone." Hivemind started when the last Champions started filtering into the room. "As we were traveling to our next destination, I picked up on a planet-wide distress call from somewhere on a former Earth Colony known as New Rome." Hivemind paused as images appeared on screen of a highly Earth-Like planet covered in blinking lights and massive cities visible from space. Large portions of the land that wasn't covered by grand cities was brown, and covered in dark grey clouds. Pictures of the cities came in, and they looked like they were pulled from a tourist's brochure. Blue skies, clean streets, and grand towers that reached for the heavens.
Hivemind continued. "So far, New Rome has refused to deal with us. That's not unusual, but the distress signal indicates more goes on on this planet than the wider international community has been allowed to see. The message indicated many casualties, and large-scale conflict on the surface, so we're going in to see what is going on and then defuse the situation. The President of this planet has been a vocal opponent of the Champions for decades, and if the distress beacon has anything to say about it, it's likely because he think's we'll see what's going on down there and try to put a stop to it. When we get to the planet, I will deploy to the capital and meet with the President, and I will be deploying Champions to other areas to perform recon and see how we can help. As you can see from the planetary view on screen, much of the planet's surface is wasteland and covered in smog, so you will all need specialized equipment for it. Are there any questions so far?" he asked, waiting for a reply.

Rika put a hand on Jaken's head. "
If you are going, I am too." She whispered to him simply, the same steely look in her eyes.

Dan slipped the towel off his head and looked around the room before seeing Keeva's face. "
Heh, so it is true about how sneaky you felines can be!" He replied jokingly, "
I'll be right down!" So the canine got dressed in their customary overalls, grabbed their toolbox, and headed out for the hanger.
