I wondered why birthdays weren't being announced.

Glad to be back, DDeer. fr someone who detests technology, I'm really more reliant on it than I want to admit.

I'm personally glad that we have it because we can keep in touch with people. Its great for introverts like me who are FAR more sociable online. XD
Re: Announcements of leave and return
I take your point, Amazz, but being rather the introvert myself, I can get a little overcharged with internet and zoom exchanges. Too many cages at the zoo, I guess.Amazee Dayzee wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 9:31 pm I'm personally glad that we have it because we can keep in touch with people. Got back from my vacation yesterday and I had to rest after the long drive of which I did 2 hours. It was fun but once again my sciatica acted up later in the night.

Just to let everybody know from August 16th to the 23rd I’m not gonna be on the forum because I am going to be taking a trip to North Carolina to see my sister down there. We are flying so as always if you don’t hear from me, the plane probably crashed and I died. I won’t just disappear.

Have a nice trip, Dayzee.

Re: Announcements of leave and return
Came back from my trip and unfortunately just as I feared, my sciatica pretty much ruined everything. I was in pain more often than not. I wanted to enjoy it but I couldn't. Things only got worse when our flight back home which was at 7:53 got delayed to 9:15 due to weather. Ugh this is getting unbearable.

So glad you're back, Amazz, and so sorry that your sciatica is still bedeviling you.Amazee Dayzee wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 7:10 pm Came back from my trip and unfortunately just as I feared, my sciatica pretty much ruined everything. I am almost at 12 months by then I believe it becomes chronic. At this point, I would love any strong painkiller regardless or not if it is addictive.

Welcome back, Dayzee! Have you seen a doctor?
Re: Announcements of leave and return
Returned Saturday from ten days visit to Madison, Wisconsin, and chumming with the relatives of the missus. They city has changed dramatically from when I was there as a student in the 70s. Still got Hamm's Beer, though.

Re: Announcements of leave and return
Tomorrow, me and the missus are flying out to Los Angeles to spend the holidays with son and wife and eldest daughter and her husbb. Our youngest daughter will join us for about a week, leaving her mizter home with a sick elder pooch. We'll be back 5/6 January unless they blow up the world or crash the plane. Dunno what access will be yet.
So, until again, Happy Hollerdays and a Happy (or Happier) New Year .....

Hope that you have a good trip Weston! Be sure to bring back a lot of souvenirs!
Re: Announcements of leave and return
Aaaaaaad ... we're back! Glad to have the storms, the cramped plane seats, and 2022 in the rear view mirror.
Still, the weather was nice in LA, and it was good to see our progeny again. Oh, and the okapis ... I always try to get down to the San Diego Zoo to see the okapis. They're kinda magical.
You know, when you get older, so do your kids ... you notice that `cause they no longer tell you YOU'RE getting older.

Well I am back but I almost didn't make it. While driving up my father drove over some ice and we nearly lost control. That was something that was NOT fun.
