Tarot seems oddly pleased with this turn of events.

Seeing this makes me think about how Rick apparently said he was going to shake things up. I'm not sure what to think about at least half of everyone becoming animals permanently if that's what's going on here...

She's preparing for the 'Worst-Case Scenario' (in which it can't be Reversed), I'd imagine.

I like how you can tell Peanut and Tarot's relationship appears to be getting stronger. She's starting to pick up his "leaning on the fourth wall but not technically breaking it" tendency.

Well we have our answer about if he got everyone and thankfully it is a "no." It doesn't do much to help the Aardvark though. I'm not sure he's planning on spending years in this configuration but he may still end up testing the theory.

The mustelid buying a book is cute, whatever it is. Thank goodness the staff of STORE! don't let anything, even celestial chaos, get in the way of good customer service and having the latest selection of whatever you are looking for.

I do have a feeling that this is going to end up sticking for a majority of the population if not everyone that has already been turned. It seems like it would be a waste to undo it at the end of the arc. Though then again I thought he was going to use the Mana Pool to do a bit of a reboot as well and that didn't happen. If it does stick what I wonder what will happen to the humans that went to heaven? It would be very strange for them.

At least now he’s not alone.

This could get very game changing very fast. I went back and checked and I'm not sure if there was any line about the pet's owners being safe now that I think about it; we only saw the animals in Heaven earlier in the arc. If any of them went to work downtown today they may have picked a bad day not to spend time with their pet.

We know Todd's mother is up there. On that (admittedly shaky) basis, we can assume the others are there.

The Irony is wasn't Keene considering something like this when Lois & Marion went to confront him (before Lois' glare shut him down)?

I'm still with the view that the more transformations there are, the less it becomes Keene's problem to sort out as the transformed Humans will demand/assert to keep what they already had independently of the Equal Chance Program.

Take the Bossbear in the previous strip for example: will he be fired by his bosses? if he has no bosses, will he fire his transformed employees? if he doesn't, will customers boycott his business? The more transformed Humans there are, the less likely any of these situations are to happen & then you have transformed Humans living & working just like everyone else, making it the norm.

None of the words I want to use for the Celestials are allowed in this forum.

Pete, Dragon, Kitsune think literally nothing of messing with mortals' bodies, minds and lives and expect them to just deal with it.

Bahamut, simply lets them. It took a demonic invasion to get his attention, and I feel like that's just because "Nuh uh, you don't get to bully these mortals, only we get to do that!"

No, they didn't. And they're not even half as bad --- besides, we haven't even seen most of the Celestials. Just 5.

Anyone else notice the changes are happening in Alphabetical order? Aardvark tipped me off, and each new page has a new letter.

Aardvark
Bear
Cow

Edit: I have been corrected that the credit-card wielding critter is not Tarot. I suspect it's a Dingo, but I'm not sure. Maybe a Degu?

The transformations are going on, and it's weird that they aren't noticing by themselves, indeed... :? Probably that coin, now broken in three pieces, is involved, we know that's cursed in transforming humans into animals, and seems that its power is like amplified when used by the two demons now present in the quarantine zone on earth... I guess you have a point there, Tarot: when a such transformation is done by a celestial, sounds more positive and also funny after some time, as you say. :P ;)

So it seems like they are now putting it out there that Celestials can be just as bad as demons but we already knew that regarding Pete though. At least the Celestials are trying to fix things now.

You know how it's a thing in this webcomic for pets to only feel naked without their collars? I'm just thinking about the fact that for most of the animals, they'll have fur to cover up the unmentionables. But for the cow in this strip...

Well, maybe normal cows don't care that they have udders dangling for all to see, but I can imagine a transformed former human realising that they are now a cow might have a very different view on it. Would they try to cover it up, like by wearing a blanket around their waist?

I wonder exactly where the Zoo Thomas is living is located? If inside the Quarantine Zone, how is he finding Heaven, or if outside, has he noticed any transformations?
