Yes I like Bino a lot and I hate when a character acts jerky or mean or does something negative, people immediately go “oh they’re channeling their inner Bino”. What about Pete or Steward or any other villain instead of Bino?

Because Pete and Steward are capable of acting like normal people. They have an inner voice, and filters, and don't just say the quiet part out loud, and have at least a mostly accurate sense of their own limitations.

Still, wouldn't it be fun if Bino "accidentally" came along on one of these expeditions into a cosmic crisis? Can't you just see him and Keene becoming "pals"?

If that happened, I'm not sure I'd ever be able to shake the feeling he was waiting for a payoff.

That is because that is who Bino is at the core of his being. If he didn't expect one, it would be grossly out of character.

He would probably recognize him as the guy who tried to nab the cash prize during the initial tour

Then that would lead to the two of them not only mistrusting each other but also trying to play a game of oneupmanship which would end up annoying everybody.
