[2020/11/23 - Not This Again]
Title Text: this background gag brought to you by the fact I needed to show her in panel 2 and leaving in panel 3, that's how comics work

Have to admit, I'm proud of Tarot right now. She's learning to make things clearer that something is amiss.
Faith doesn't change circumstances. Faith changes me.

Well, she did have the bright red exclamation point over her head. The others can see that, right?

The spa sounds familiar. Wonder if they remember Fox and King there?

Can we all just admit that Tarot looked adorable in the second panel?

Hopefully she can come up with a good plan to do something about this. Honestly, I don't even know what they could do in this situation except enjoy it? I mean would they want to go back down to earth and help fight demons? They have basically done it before so they likely would.

Everyone is already out, they are n a pocket Heaven. What they seem to be trying to do otherwise is to distract them.

Peanut has no concerns
and Max is a Cynic.
Grape spots a replay plot;
Tarot sees the gimmick.
Her running off like that
has set off Grape’s alarm;
her way to warn them all
is just part of her charm…
She’ll have to get up now,
our sweet Maxwell loafer.
This 'threat’s' main victory:-
getting her off the sofa.

Thats the guess. And either they didn't come with because they aren't actually mortal, they've been drafted by Kitsune or captured by Euodent.

no! Because the way she closes the door behind her almost unable to reach the doorknob in the third panel is even more adorable!

She did!

Also... what kind of "background gag" are we talking about? I didn't get the reference.

I’m honestly not much of a shipper, but it’s getting harder and harder for me to not see all four of them as dating each other simultaneously.

Well, we have two pairs meeting each other. Grape and Max & Peanut and Tarot. Nothing more than that. It's not foursome or something. People do that irl too.

Gotta love how Tarot is like "Water Slides? SOLD!" and is immediately out the door! In all seriousness, she probably already suspects something and is heading out to investigate (like a canine Jessica Fletcher).

Love Max's lutefisk line, and Peanut's tail wag in the fourth panel.

I think I'd blocked that line from my brain. My mother is native Scandinavian and growing up she used to eat that stuff whenver she could get her hands on that stuff. Not easy to do in Southern California in the 80's, before the internet.

I see that Max has the same feelings about the stuff as myself.

I lived in Madison, Wisconsin, for three years. Developed a taste for Hamm's beer, sauerkraut, and (in my pre-veg days), bratwurst. Lutefisk, on the other hand ............ no.

Alright, also they got caught in what done by Bahamut (unlike Craig and Draig... :?). That's another nice consequence of the displacing: four free tickets for you all for a spa! :D Yes Grape, you already had something like that, but why don't do the encore? ;) Eheh, Tarot leaves like that, without care of anybody around. :P Yeah, she's improving her communication skills, but only the telepathic ones, and it's a sign of something too weird going around, indeed... :roll:

I'd have to look back through, but Kitsune has made comments at least once than showed he knew he was in a comic. I think those were only said to the nerds IIRC.
