Hope you don't mind a quick change in topic, but what are some of the things y'all do when taking a break from creative endeavors? Been really churning out art the past few days, and now I want to take a break.

The problem is that I am now realizing that I want to get back to art as soon as possible. Like, it's an urge to do something. It does help that I have little free time to myself for the past few months and for the foreseeable future, but those moments of rest I have to fight myself not to do any extra work.

I wish I could help but my drawings are hideous. I hope that you can find someone willing to draw up your comic though!

I dunno. My attitude is dance while your muse is singing. What might help is (a) draw something out of character for you like, maybe, landscapes or street scenes or (b) a different art like ceramics. Me, I draw to relax so I don't do it often and my work stays in the art books. Just a coupla thoughts, D.

Didn't the chats used to be closed after we reached page 200? Or am I thinking about a different forum that I was on a long time ago?

Hardly anybody wants to be on message boards nowadays. Not with the fast paced world of instant messaging. But lately I think instant messaging might be losing it's spark and people are slowly trickling back to message boards again.

There are strengths and weaknesses to both. I guess something can be said for being able to slow down and craft a longer, more well-thought-out post on a message board, huh?

I recall Buster mentioning that she preferred to slower pace over instant messaging. It is sometimes nice to be able to take time to form your thoughts.

Got to rescue an Eastern Quoll tonight! We think he ate some poison but fortunately he should be okay! Sadly his sister wasn't so lucky.

If you're putting out bait, please make sure it's in an appropriately secured trap so that wildlife can't get to it.

Never say that 2020 can't get worse. Yesterday I was in a car accident. I'm fine but the airbags bruised my ribs. The car is completely totaled. ALL of the airbags came out. We hit a pole and the pole fell down. It was a complete mess. I got to ride in an ambulance with EKG leads and a neck brace on me. As I said before, all I had was bruised ribs from the airbags and my mother had a bloody nose. Car is probably a total loss. How did all this happen? I don't !!!!!!! know. My mother, who is a NICU secretary that does 11 PM to 7 AM and has been doing that for 35 years somehow fell asleep. That NEVER happened before. So know we have to figure out what is going to be done next. All I know is I'm still sore and my mother has to figure out how to get another car.

Man, 2020's been one hecking messed up year and no mistake. World War 3 rumors, the worst pandemic I've ever seen (Never had everything have to lock down like that for any of the other scary viruses we've had in the past, such as swine flu, bird flu and ebola...why they didn't call this bat flu because of it's supposed origin I'll never know) raging wildfires all over the US west coast...

...I'm rather worried about what 2021 could possibly have in store for us.

Alcohol boils out at a much lower temperature than water, so it’s typically a non-issue when used for cooking. I am curious as to how beer could work, as I have a steaming appliance for this, and I don’t know how it’d handle something other than water being used in the tank. Worth investigating, I guess. It’d also be the perfect excuse to increase my bottle cap collection. I don’t drink alcohol, so I had no reason to buy a bottle.

I've never done it but you can get instructions for steaming in beer. Works on veggie dogs, too, I'm told but I've never tried them beer-steamed.

I’ll do some investigating on whether or not it’ll work. In the meantime, got a suggested brand?

From my limited experience (in the American Mid-West), Lagers are preferred. In New England, the problem is the beer usually gets drunk before it's deployed. Just not Budweiser ("Sadder Bud-wise-er" as some of us call this puzzlingly popular U.S. brand).
