Yeah ... and it's kinda interesting that Rick hasn't used the "long-lost-relative-reconnection" theme before (unless you count Rufus and Max, but they're not really related).

Re: Art Thread
I think that Rick has used it before when it comes to non-biological relatives but pets who are relatives through some sort of bond but not with biological relatives.
Re: Art Thread
Remember Mirage's avatar, who I said wouldn't fit in the HP universe due to the background I wrote for him when making him said avatar? Well, with Trevor's excuse of "world-hopping," decided that I want to say the same about David here. I'll write his bio after drawing up a new image of his sister, Marble.

Re: Art Thread
I think he looks absolutely adorable and the scar on his eye really makes him look fierce!
Re: Art Thread
Thanks! Though that scar isn't the result of some great battle, but rather a reminder of a terrible mistake he made. I'll explain more eventually.
Re: Art Thread
Handsome sort, like the coloration choices.
Re: Art Thread
Thanks! And here's his sister, Marble.

Re: Art Thread
Forgive me if you have already answered this but what species is Marble exactly? I know that David is a rabbit.
Re: Art Thread
Ah, I had fun with her. She’s a red fox. However, she’s my take on the marble color morph that Fox breeding can sometimes bring up. Look up all the different varieties of fox color morphs and you’re bound to get plenty of ideas.

Re: Art Thread
Ooooh! So David actually is a feral and is Marble's brother through the pack taking him in. I thought they were both pets at first. Yeah that makes much more sense.
Re: Art Thread
Yup. Their world is planned to be a standard "animal fantasy" world, but like with Trevor, their eventual involvement with Celestials could let me excuse their "world hopping."
In the meantime, have Marble's bio sheet.

Nice to see that their father is contrite to what happened and really wants to make up for it. I hope the siblings are reunited somehow.

Re: Art Thread
Another neat pair of siblings, D-Rock. I like there designs and backstories. David looks to have the right idea with the buckler-dagger combo: be ready for fast close-quarter combat. And marbles can be deadly if massive enough and dropped from a high enough height.
Here's a non-furry drawing I'm not too proud of but feel that it had potential... *Gasp* A non-furry drawing from the bat! It's Raditz, Goku, and Gine from Dragon Ball Z. I'll let you guess what inspired me to draw this scenario. Here's a hint:
Gine: "Raditz... Come to your mother... You must be so exhausted. Come here, Raditz."
Yeah, in hindsight it doesn't really work, but you know...

I think it annoyed a lot of people that Gine wasn't a female Saiyan warrior like her husband, sons, grandsons and great-granddaughter.
Re: Art Thread
Thanks, Bat. I really just wanted an excuse to design more shields.
And in the end, Raditz and his mother were indeed reunited.

Re: Art Thread
Then again, who knows how she was like before she got hitched with Bardock and had Raditz and Goku. She might have been every bit as ruthless and battle-hungry as the other Saiyans.Amazee Dayzee wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 10:07 pm I think it annoyed a lot of people that Gine wasn't a female Saiyan warrior like her husband, sons, grandsons and great-granddaughter.
And if she was as ruthless as the others, probably in HFIL.
Re: Art Thread
I've only heard that her introduction with DragonBall Minus felt very out of character for Bardock and Goku to fans. I've never read them, but supposedly Gine was deemed much too weak for battle or something? Then again, I've also heard the "out of character" thing brought up in the second special he appeared in, "Episode of Bardock."
All in all, DragonBall is weird as a whole.

Oh dog, I almost forgot that the "Episode of Bardock" was a thing. Haha... time travel. At least early Dragon Ball and the Buu arc in Z were basically weird for the sake of being weird... Kind of like the Mother series.
I never played Mother 3, but one infamous heart-crushing scene inspired this drawing.

There is an incredible amount of cut content that could imply the final battle was intended to be worse.

Re: Art Thread
I've heard that too. Some the stuff of nightmares.
Speaking of which, I'll leave off with this double feature. The first picture is based off of Pennywise the Clown, as well as a time when I spotted 2 raccoons going into a storm drain.
The second is inspired by the trailer for the new Ratchet and Clank game coming out, as well as all of the attention now given to Audie from Animal Crossing.
Angela: "Alright, just who the *honk* is this chick?! I disappear for like 6 games and everyone forgets about me. Me- apparently one of the last Lombaxes out there. And now this girl shows up and everyone goes gaga. Ugh!!"
Isabelle: "Look little Miss Sunshine, you better watch yourself. I could make you disappear with a phone call."

Creepy racc.
It’s funny how popularity ebbs and flows in fandoms, isn’t it?

Cool draws, Nicholas, and yeah, that Pennywise raccoon is creepy. Good work as usual, D-Rock.

Thanks everyone.
Pennycoon: "Hiya Batty. I'll tell you what's wrong with your code... if you come closer."
Me: "...Okay." *Edges closer*
Pennycoon: "You were using integers for input arguments. But they should be float. They should all be float..."
Me: "Oh, I get it! 'They all float.' Like in the movie. That's very funn-" *Gets chomped on*

I got my rabies shot. Unfortunately, that didn't protect me from a bad case of getting-eaten-alive-itus.
I've heard of flame wars but this is crazy! But in all seriousness, this looks awesome, D-Rock. Good work on their poses.

And thanks for the words, Bat! Really winged it on the poses here.
For now, though, here's a new weapon set; dagger and forearm shields for David. Wooden Foxpaw Training Set – These were made for David after he began to show promise in combat, at the behest of his adoptive father. It was also the only set he took with him at his banishment.
Swiftfoot Heirloom – When David was of an age to fend for himself, he journeyed to his now abandoned warren. Much was already taken by scavengers, with the exception of this dagger and shield, which he recalled his parents had passed down through generations.
Replica soldier set – The first set that David was able to acquire after his banishment. Of poor quality, as they were mass-produced as cheaply as possible. Best as a last resort.
Foxpaw Guard set – After his return to his family, his father made this set once David completed his formal training. Incredibly sturdy and held its edge very well.
Assassin’s Blade – Belonged to a hired killer that was targeting David, some time after his banishment and David had begun making a name for himself. The assassin was his first kill. David learned that the assassin was hired by the leader of a rival clan of foxes who wanted to torment his father. David was unaware at this time that his father had Marble looking for him.
Hard Light set – A seemingly mystical set that was loaned to David from a mysterious hare who claimed to have been keeping an eye on him. She said little other than that, besides wanting the weapons returned after one of David’s more difficult jobs. Boasted a sharpness and defense that David didn’t know possible. However, they were exceedingly lighter than he was used to, and were difficult to wield properly.
Horns of the Al-Mi’raj – The hare would reveal herself as the demi-goddess, Mirage, after the job was completed. She explained that she needed to test David, as she needed his aid in an important mission. After explaining the situation, David agreed to help, and she presented the set for his new dangerous mission.

The harshest thing is, if your hero has a group, sometimes you have to kill members of that group in battle...Amazee Dayzee wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 4:39 pm You may not think that is a good thing considering what I tend to do to the characters I like...
