I have to ask why Jack would want to eat a human kid in the first place. Regular wolves don’t go after humans. I mean unless they're threatened or something. Humans are more dangerous to wolves in the wild. It’s why when you go to parks and stuff they tell you not to feed the animals because it’s a huge problem when wolves get used to humans and are conditioned to receive food from them.

It's his running joke about 'well marbelled (insert job title here)' coming to the front door of Wolf House.

It’s time, it seems, for a Jack attack
as the guy attempts to work the pack;
filling his days with unbridled joy
as he pursues a slick delivery boy.
Hauled up to meet the Boss again,
clearly expecting the order ‘retrain’;
surprise will soon hit his sleek muzzle
as his brain works through the puzzle.
He’s been put forward for another shift;
who knew he could work and not just grift?
Perhaps there's hope for them all in here?
Or is that an outcome they should fear?

So, Jack, from what I got, your mouth was watering because of a beef tallow in the hair on a customer's kid and you joked about do an offer for it just because you wanted to lick that? :roll: I know you're a wolf, but your hungriness instincts still take over you. :D :P Eh, your shop boss was only asking to cover someone's shift, but maybe now he could think to fire you for that behavior... :? I wonder what could say this graffiti...

It is very important to wait until the person addressing you finishes what they are saying so that you don’t end up incriminating yourself by saying something totally different. :lol:

I'm picturing a list of things that Jack isn't allowed to do at work, like "No eating ribs in front of customers" "No sniffing customer rears."

That's not too hard. Back in the day, McDonalds got in trouble because they were using beef tallow in their fries and not disclosing it. So if a kid eats fries made that way and rubs his hand though his hair, instant wolf snack!

It wasn't so much the use of beef tallow, but the lack of disclosure. It was the only item on the menu that a vegan could (theoretically) eat.

Jack be nimble, Jack be slick,
Jack, make up excuses quick!
Mister Wolf, won't you please be quiet?
He wasn't asking about your diet
Or whether you ate that silly kid.

He wants to ask you to cover a shift,
Not make excuses or try to grift,
To cover the job for Rudy,
That's your job and your duty,
So shut your lid!
You're a wonderful person! You can do this! Yes, you, person reading this!

If Jack was eating the customers that came in to the store they would have definitely figured it out sooner and I'm pretty sure Jack would be on death row.

Re: 2020/04/13 - Employee Review

In my decades of work, military service, university teaching and so on, I went through a lot of "employee reviews". One change I noticed over the years was that employers began to add a phase where they "wanted to know how we could do things better." My old first Sargeant referred to this as "Management Kabuki Theatre", that this is just another example of the supervisors behaving as though they gave two hops and a jump about anything the lower orders felt or thought. He did observe, though, "They often have a notepad around so - if you ever really do provoke a thought - they will write it down. Otherwise, garbage-in, garbage-out."

So years later, I'm teaching and we get a new Chancellor who immediately announced that he wanted to talk to every member of the faculty specifically about "How to make the University a better place." Like Noah, we were invited to his office two-by-two and told we had fifteen minutes (7 1/2 ) for our session. So I bet my colleague a couple rounds of our favorite libations that he would write nothing we said down, but I could tell him something serious enough that he would make a record of it.

So in we go, chatting away and my buddy makes her pitches. He smiles and nods like a bobblehead, hands folded on his desk, motionless. My turn - I say I have four suggestions. ".....and, number four, all the men's room bathroom stalls are plastered with vicious, insulting graffiti. Parent's weekend is next week, and I really think you'd better do some painting or you're gonna get major backfire from angry Dads!" The nodding stops, the smile flattens grimly, and he grabs a pen and paper. "Thank you." he says, "I didn't know that." (Well, if I had my own private bathroom, I probably would have missed out on that little local hygenic detail, too.)

So, occasionally, between ice ages, the system does what it professes to do.

"It was a terrible experience," said the White King. "I will never forget it."
"Yes, you will," said the White Queen, "if you don't make a memorandum of it."
