Martin Henry Balsam was an American character actor. He is best known for a number of renowned film roles, including detective Milton Arbogast in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho.

Once King's heart starts beating again, it will be time for a coming to Jesus moment.

I wonder if Bailey heard him screaming. It might be her and Sasha having that coming to jesus moment.

Love this little tribute to Psycho. And the alt text fits perfectly since the movie changes course after the shower scene.

Also, to save you young whipper snappers tumehttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Balsam

Now, shouldn't Bailey come running now? Loudest sound in the universe is a dropped shampoo bottle in the shower.

Anyone else googling that name
and trying not to laugh
as King’s plan meets disaster
when found in the bath?
She can’t not know what she’s doing
as they re-enact the scene.
Instead of a knife, though,
she’ll help to make him clean.
The feeling will be good, I think,
as the lady scrubs his back
then, if he still can’t sleep,
maybe a little, late night, snack?

I wonder how high pitched King's scream is.
Could some people confuse it with Sasha's scream?
Also really nice tribute, Psycho is one of my favorite movies
Also it's very nice of Sasha to want to help King

Psycho and Valentine's Day - only in Housepets. At least King didn't have to fall backwards down the stairs.

You know Psycho reference aside, this was seriously bad on Sashas part. I mean I know she’s an airhead but who walks into the bathroom and does that while someone is in the shower? If this was anyone other than King someone could have been hurt. She was doing him a “favor” but really how clueless can you be to literally jump scare someone while they are in the shower?

I guess this arc ain't ending on Valentine's Day, huh? It seemed pretty obvious to me that it would be nothing more than Sasha returning the favor, and am pleased with the execution.
I'm also fairly certain that this is the arc with the most King heart attacks, and honestly I'm all for it. It's pretty much been once per week.

I'm feeling sorry for King, now. I'd hope he would get an apology from Bailey, though honestly I don't expect to see one. She seems like she isn't being very understanding of what is kind of a major issue for him, emotionally. And she almost blew off his earlier, honest communication. (Though it was for the sake of the punchline, so there's that excuse.)

It might not really matter that the situation probably doesn't warrant his reaction, or that Sasha has only good intentions; what he's feeling about it is real and ought to be taken seriously, especially by his wife.

How? His uncertainty and relative emotional turmoil from Human values isn't something she can even comprehend, having never been Human. It's a totally alien concept to her.

Considering the date, a My Bloody Valentine reference would've been spot on. But you can't beat the classics.

A "coming to Jesus" moment is an epiphany of a need to change. Usually coerced/forced, like in an intervention.

Sasha’s sweet but a psycho; at night King’s screamin’ “I’m ma-ma-ma out my mind!”

She’s “grab a cop tail” kind of crazy.

In a group gathering, a "come to Jesus" moment is when someone indicates that it's time for total honesty and openness about a subject or issue. Sort of along the lines of "let's talk about the elephant in the room."

A friend of mine who was an Eastern Orthodox Christian told me that, when he went to confession, the priest would first put an icon of Christ on an elevated chair at the table. Then he'd say, "Okay, now that we both are reminded that there are three of us here, let's talk." Sort of a spiritual "all cards on the table" situation.

Aaah! :o Poor scared King, murdered with a brush... :P Actually, that's so kind of you, Sasha, but was better to talk and making him hear your presence. ;) Let's hope that also this time Bailey won't become jealous... :P Anyway, I guessed wrong about what Sasha was going to do, this has been a lot funnier.

It's been a long day... I need to write a poem...
--

King thinks the end has come at last
Especially since Sasha sprung so fast
His train of thought's gone down the drain
As Error 404s spring up in his brain

When he tries to escape his fate,
But, oh. poor King, it's much too late
To get away and run and cower
Seeing as you're stuck in the shower.

I think we have a mistake happening here,
Seeing as King feels naught but fear,
Sasha is harmless, dear pup,
So come on, get up, King, get up!
You're a wonderful person! You can do this! Yes, you, person reading this!

I was thinking more about how movies with sound in the 50s and 60s wouldn't allow much of the same things that are allowed now but that is true also.

I'm sure that the pets are very happy they weren't around in the 1940s where I'm sure that testing on animals was not only allowed but very widespread. :?
