Re: Art Thread
Is there a reason why he hates predators?
I have ideas and I occasionally put them down.
Re: Art Thread
For him, being on the bottom of the food chain is enough.

I am gonna assume that the gouges out of his ears are from him getting into fights that may or may not be with predators and him getting the daylights beaten out of him?

Re: Art Thread
On a scale of 1 to 100, how prejudiced would you say he is? 1 is not at all, 100 is that he only believes his own prejudices and he refuses to even allow the possibility of believing anything else. I do know that it will not be close to one, but it doesn't hurt to make sure.
Re: Art Thread
Close. They are indeed from his fights with predators, both out of his own safety and because he takes the fight to them at times. However, he's never lost. At least until the events of Tails of Babylon.Amazee Dayzee wrote:I am gonna assume that the gouges out of his ears are from him getting into fights that may or may not be with predators and him getting the daylights beaten out of him?
Definitely a 99. In the events of Tails of Babylon. He puts it aside just enough to work with others. There's one he absolutely despises, though, to the point that the Celestial they're working for had to set up a non-aggression pact with them to keep them from killing each other.Zesortinge wrote:On a scale of 1 to 100, how prejudiced would you say he is? 1 is not at all, 100 is that he only believes his own prejudices and he refuses to even allow the possibility of believing anything else. Re: Art Thread
I'm guessing that the fight he lost happens to be with a certain yellow bunicorn then?
If that is so, then THROW HIM IN THE MUD MIRAGE! MAKE HIM EAT MUD! YEEEEEAAAAHHHH!!!!!
My time away might have made me more prone to be more combative. XD

Re: Art Thread
No. Mirage won't be appearing in Tails of Babylon. The last proposed team idea for the chapter against Efran was North Star, King, Bailey, and Zach.

Re: Art Thread
Will you list how many of each animal Efran has fought?
I have ideas and I occasionally put them down.
Re: Art Thread
Nope. Never figured that that was important to list.

Re: Art Thread
Well in that case I will amend the post that I previously sent through into this topic.
THROW HIM IN THE MUD [insert character here]! MAKE HIM EAT MUD! YEEEEEAAAAHHHH!!!!!
Like I said, my time away has made me a tiny bit more aggressive.

Re: Art Thread
Well, again, bottom of the food chain. He was displeased with his lot in life, so he got good at fighting, even moving up the ladder of what he could take down. He also views pets, especially pet rabbits, as weak animals for being subservient to humans. He's racked up an impressive kill count.
Side note, whipped up a really quick thing. Hard to get this kind of reaction out of him.
Based this on another of the sketches that Krytus made. He's adorable like this. Also wanted to experiment with blushing and how it'd look with differently-colored blood. Couldn't quite get him as cute as that original sketch.

To be honest, I thought that he looked like he was drunk in that picture.

Re: Art Thread
How is a meeting between Efran and Macabre likely to turn out?
I have ideas and I occasionally put them down.
Re: Art Thread
Well, if it was a surprise attack on Macabre, Macabre would win due to the fact that he's an immortal demon facing off against a mortal rabbit. Like, all he'd really have to do is wear Efran down. Same would apply if Efran came up and challenged Macabre.
Sanctioned tournament, where immortals are brought down to provide a fair chance against all entrants, mortal or immortal, might still give it to Macabre. He's learned to be a smart fighter as Mirage is stronger than him, and having an indestructible violin and bow could work as both a weapon and shield to counter Efrans spear.

Wait a second? Efran isn't an immortal like Macabre and Mirage? I thought he was. Still when you think of it that way, you also got to be impressed with him for having the tenacity to challenge animals that CAN'T DIE.
Re: Art Thread
Yup, Efran is mortal. And despite his successes, discretion is not his priority.

Re: Art Thread
So I am assuming that in addition to soliciting fights he also has others pick fights with him because he doesn't do anything to keep his reputation quiet?
Re: Art Thread
Not really, no. Others are usually smart enough to avoid him. At least I'd hope so. I imagine that there have been some of those that came on their own volition.

I'm just gonna wait and find out if there is anybody that can cut him down to size since he seems so proud through humiliation. That is always fun.
Re: Art Thread
Oh, I agree with that.

Wow that does look very wonderful! That is one of the nicest commissions that I have ever seen!
Re: Art Thread
Yeah, that is a real gem. Congratts!
Re: Art Thread
Thanks, Cesco.
Well, finally made some progress. A while ago, Krytus gave me some notes on figure drawing, and finally used them here. Another image of Macabre's sadistic little sister, Lillith.

Re: Art Thread
is she supposed to look like a man in drag, who hasn't quite got the hang of it yet?
it's mostly the face; square jaw, flat cheeks, big eyebrows, huge nose, and a masculine hairline. you can usually get away with a few of these and have a character still look feminine, heck it gives em personality, but all of em at once raises eyebrows. and the shoulder spikes making them look broader than they are doesn't help.
though credit where credit's due the outfit and pose mostly work save for the stretched abdomen.

No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Re: Art Thread
Guess I followed the guide a little too well. There were a few different torso and shapes shown, but the angled one I needed was more masculine. There was also just one head guide. Easy fix, I hope. Though any tips on the hair?

Re: Art Thread
widowspeaks (the little point in the middle of the hairline) are significantly less common and if present almost always less pronounced on women compared to men.

How's this? Though I feel like the head needs to be repositioned.

I didn't really think that there was anything wrong with her but I figure that if I could ever draw a wolf, I would be the type who forgets the ears.
Re: Art Thread
After bringing this up on the Discord, fixed her neck and moved her face inward.

If I didn't think she was gonna gut me then strangle me to death with my intestines then I would want to go shopping with her. LOL
Re: Art Thread
You know, Dayzee, the really scary thing is, those two things definitely sound like something she'd do. Let's be glad that she likely wouldn't be allowed too much time in the mortal realms by anybody.

I don't go to Whole Foods because over here everything is way too pricey.
