Welsh Halfwit wrote:"Now THAT," Kaylee said, doing all she could to keep her winds down as the yo-yo dangled at 45 degrees, "is impressive. H...hello, 'G...Ghostie."
The Nightmare tilted it's head slightly, looking at the dangling yo-yo. It held up one of it's hands, and the toy flung itself from Kaylee's hand into Ghostie's. It's breath rattled as it inspected the toy with it's cold, empty eyes. It found the loop on the string where one's finger is supposed to go, and it stuck it's middle claw through it. It let the yo-yo dangle for a bit, blowing in Kaylee's wind. Ghostie tried swinging it back and forth like a pendulum, but it hissed softly and rattled it's head. Then it seemed to catch on to what it was supposed to do. The spirit picked the yo-yo up and wrapped the string back around it, held the toy in it's hand, and let it roll out. The demon observed, apparently fascinated by the spinning toy as it rested at the bottom of it's string. Ghostie flicked it's finger up, and the yo-yo shot back up to it's hand.
The skeletal demon's skull started rattling excitedly. It's head spun 180 degrees on it's neck with a sickening
crack to look at Phoebe, who yelped in surprise. Ghostie turned it's body to match it's head and glided up to Phoebe. It took her hand, opened it, put the yo-yo in her palm, and started miming the motion it used to play with it. Confused, Phoebe started mimicking Ghostie's movements. The yo-yo went down, then shot back up to her hand. Phoebe's ears perked up, and after a few more rounds, she was smiling. A couple more, and she was giggling happily.

Bonnie trails off as an errant glance sideways entirely derails her train of thought. she couldn't help but agree with jake comparing his durability to a fancy pudding... faintly muttering "is that a shade?! Where did she find that kind of undead?" not entirely realizing she'd said that out loud, and instinctively making the hand signs to activate a basic protection spell, which lacking energy immediately fizzles out before the circle is even fully formed.
"Ow. owowowow. Stupid."
Phoebe's ear swiveled in the direction of Jake and Bonnie.
"I dunno what a "shade" or "undead" is. The nice police officer man said Ghostie's a... Nightmare dee mon. Somethin' to do with fear. I dunno. Ghostie had my ears covered for a lot of what he was sayin'." She said casually while she played some more with the yo-yo, managing to get it to roll on the ground and come back to her hand.
"Ooh! Didja see that, Miss. Rua?"
Buster wrote:Rua meanwhile is a bit distracted by trying to help kaylee with a bit of a counterspell against her winds. Unlike bonnie, she doesn't even try to conceal what she's doing, and isn't bottomed out on power.

"Oh..." Phoebe looked up from the yo-yo at Rua, and noticed some of the general reactions to Ghostie. Including Socks, who seemed to be fainting.
"sorry..." she said, guilt clear in her tone.
"G-ghostie... I think you should hide again... I-I think you're scaring people." she said sadly. The Nightmare seemed to listen, as it started to sink down into the floor, dissolving into a disembodied shadow which merged with Phoebe's own. Socks would feel the intensity of fear lessen significantly.
Phoebe walked shyly up to Kaylee and handed her the yo-yo.
"Sorry... Here's your yo yo back."
