Grape is slowly losing her mind.
Re: 2019/07/12 - Crazy Cat
I think Grape might needs some therapy.

Is this the OFFICIAL thread?
Checking in on the main moggies,
finding they miss their Dog.
It’s never good to see Grape like this;
with sleep being a serious slog.
Max, it’s time to console her,
to give her a soothing massage.
And we won’t look as you do it;
we’ll have to cut to montage.
Why didn’t you go with him, Grape,
did you want time with your Beau?
It confirms the thing we knew of Max.
These days he’s a lucky so-and-so.

Re: 2019/07/12 - Crazy Cat
This is cute. Not the Meanwhile I wanted... but still adorable seeing what the others are up too.
But now this raises more questions that need answers. Like what kind of summer camp? Is it a Pet Only Summer Camp for pets or is it all inclusive? Humans and animals spending time together to learn about each other. Does he wear a little uniform with a scarf around his neck? Is is a themed camp? When is he coming back? These are questions that need answers.
More importantly I need to see what kind of misadventures Peanut is getting into when left to his own devices. Like I wonder if any other pets from the neighborhood went with him. I would die if Tiger was shipped off to a camp for the summer.
Imagine the stories he could tell to the other campers. "Last summer me and my friends went into a magic temple and fought demons and gained magic powers and saved the world. And a few months ago me and my friends spent five months at a spa that was parked outside out homes. Like an entire building on the back of a truck. This one time we went back in time. My girlfriend is psychic and my sister is a purple cat."
Did anyone else notice that Max is starting to grow a little beard there. He's growing up so fast. He's an adult now.

Grape, you should be more worried about the summer camp suing your owners out of house and home for Peanut potentially putting the counselors through severe emotional distress.
With the right community, getting into a webcomic at the beginning of a brand new arc can feel just as enjoyable and rewarding as being there from the beginning.

That is so cute. She cannot sleep without him. Knowing it could happen means she enjoys what she has while it lasts but knowing it cannot happen means she cannot relax.

If it’s like an art camp (is that a thing?) I could see Joey going with him. Those two sharing a cabin and Joey opening his bag to have Squeak jumping out, gasping for air.

Grape, you know that gnawing emptiness that's keeping you awake? That's making you tear your claws out, scratching at that fence? That's love.

I did notice Max's goatee, in a strip over four years old! It comes and goes. Throughout Housepets 5000 BC it would change between present and not present. He had it in Temple Crashers 2 (when he wasn't in a face-obscuring ninja outfit), but he was smooth-chinned for all of the hot springs arcs. Of course, Grape did it first.fenrirblack wrote:Did anyone else notice that Max is starting to grow a little beard there. He's growing up so fast. He's an adult now.

Yeah I know the little things like that come and go but it’s fun to think that just maybe it will stay for a while. Poor Grape. We should give her a plushie of Peanut for her to snuggle while he's gone.

You know what I'm wondering?
If she tried warm milk. I mean, milk is supposed to be something for cats...there is milk specially so cats can drink them.
Also warm milk is supposed to help falling asleep.

It's official - Peanut is bad for your health. Maxwell is the cure.
Go Maxwell.
On a more serious note ~ I can relate with Grape on this one with what I hear pets do online sometimes. Some of them I find can't stand seeing a norm broken and lose sleep over it. This is cute <3

So to feel better, she needs to go to Maxwell's House?GameCobra wrote:It's official - Peanut is bad for your health. Maxwell is the cure.

Why do I think Peanut is going to be yelled at when he gets home?

Re: 2019/07/12 - Crazy Cat
Let's say Grape sleeps for around 6 hours, and suddenly Peanut wakes her up: she didn't sleep so badly, and it seems she usually sleeps enough, even with Peanut's usual "GRAAAAAAPE" interruptions.
And now that Peanut isn't around and Grape can sleep for much longer, she suddenly can't sleep?
So Grape can't sleep soundly without Peanut being around to worriedly/affectionately/etc.ly wake her up and interrupt her sleep?
This is heartwarming, funny, unnerving and puzzling at the same time.

Re: 2019/07/12 - Crazy Cat
Good to see an intermission with some of the historical protagonists. Eheheh, aww, poor Grape. Woah, she can't neither sleep because she knows that Peanut is not near her to brusquely wake she up as he always does? And actually, it's so cruel that their parents brought Peanut at the camp, leaving Grape alone. Well, there's your Max, and come on, help her playing Peanut's part. Ah, yeah, sleep on a cardboard or on a keyboard in use are other cool ways to relax for cats, which she should try.

Alarm Clog
Huh, this reminds me of the time when my alarm clock broke when I was young, and I was so worried that I couldn't get to bed for a week (ironically like the strip), even if it wasn't a school day. I feel you, Grape. Not having the usual alarm clock can be extremely stressful. :<

I hope we get to see at least a couple of strips of Peanut’s summer camp antics before we return to Marion‘s story.

So which is it? Would you rather see Peanut at summer camp or more of Marion's story? There are only so many strips in a week.Silly Zealot wrote:You know what distresses me the most about today's strip?
That's right!
The "to be continued" sign at the end of the page!
We are about to move onto a different story and won't see these characters for AT LEAST a few weeks!

LOOK A DISTRACTION!
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.
