Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
I remember in 2nd grade watching an "Eyewitness" video about caterpillars and butterflies and I remember some guy hiding in the bushes then popping up to eat it.
Lots of grossed out 6 and 7 year olds that day.

The fact that you didn't get banned from that astonishes me.

I'm not sure people will take him seriously with a badger lawyer. LOL

I love that furries have such diverse backgrounds.
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

I don't think that is the same thing as ACTUALLY being a badger.

...but a furry who is a badger and a lawyer, that's seriously nifty!

Tomorrow is the first college class that me and my sister are taking together because we accidentally registered for the same one. LOL This should be very interesting.
Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
What course, if I may ask? Could be fun.

Public speaking. Then again, me and my sister barely talk and lead two separate lives so it might be like I don't know anybody in the class after all.

Good luck with that course! I might take it during winterim later this year just to get it over with if it's available, not looking forward to it in the slightest.

I will assume that you aren't really big on public speaking?

Mark Twain once said, "The human brain is a remarkable thing. It begins functioning immediately upon birth and works relentlessly until the moment of death or the moment when one is called upon to speak in public."

Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
Tell me about it. There was a public speaking unit during one of my high school English classes. Had to give two speeches in a month. Traumatizing, but an important experience, but still traumatizing

Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
I'm fine with giving speeches in front of people or having to do a public speech. My problem is I stutter and I can't talk clearly or get my points across. Which I assume is a symptom if having Autism.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Hated any form of putting myself forward.NHWestoN wrote:Mark Twain once said, "The human brain is a remarkable thing. I would only talk to someone in real life if they came up to me first.
Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
I've often called myself a "riotous introvert". One of the best courses ever took was "Acting 101-102". It did not help me get over my shyness but how to use acting skills to play social roles. I'm NOT saying it would work for others but it helped me build a couple of careers where I was often in "spotlight" situations ... like classroom teaching.

Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
I've never really had a problem with public speaking, but I've got a bit more challenge when it comes to conversation. I already know what I'm going to do/say when I'm public speaking, so it's not as bad.

I get to go next week since of my eye so I'm hoping it will be resolved by then.

I hope your eye gets better, Amayzee. Sorry for your difficulties.

I suppose it could be worse. A few years ago I DID have severe constipation issues which necessitated a colonoscopy which found NOTHING wrong with me thought it still took a while to resolve.

So we got a new look at the Sonic movie and AAAAAAHHHH

Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
So what's new with me? (Not that anybody cares since people on Discord couldn't be bothered...)
My aunt has breast cancer. At first we thought it was stage one but turns out its stage two.
The wife of my mother's first cousin has anal cancer and apparently "anal" is a bad word.
Her daughter (my second cousin) is special needs and I doubt her father will be able to handle her by himself (she has Prader–Willi syndrome).
My mother's friend is dying of terminal brain cancer.
So yeah. I swear that if I was a self-harmer, I would be all cut up now. Literally.

Well, people here care, Amayzee, and I'm saddened by your burdens. Cancer is such a scourge. I hope, in addition to each other, your families have a caring support network. And you, too - no one should walk these wildernesses alone......

Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
Well on Discord it seems I do which makes me wonder why I'm on the server.
Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
We often don't know what to say, or it was a time where no one was paying attention to the server. I'm sorry you felt like that.
Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
Especially given that you just joined the Discord, so not everyone knows you there. It's okay to feel hurt that no one hopped in to offer encouragement, but blaming them isn't going to make it betterD-Rock wrote:We often don't know what to say

Wasn't blaming anybody but just pointing out it didn't really feel too good.
I do get that people were reluctant to let me back in after what should have been a "permanent ban" so I should stay mindful of that and accept that fact that most people are annoyed by me. Doesn't mean I'm not gonna stop trying to actually contribute something that doesn't make people roll their eyes.

So, I just found this on Facebook. Who wants a copy?
Re: Chat Thread 43: Good Ol' ArcWolves' Club (Voting's hard,
Alas, there are no squirrels to outwit around where I am. Course this does mean that Diss's spy army has a lot more trouble keeping an eye on me
