I was thinking more in terms of this chapter rather than the present. There’s no telling how old they are back then. They could only be roughly ten years older than Kitten Max which would put them in their late twenties or early thirties now.Gameb18oy wrote:She/he does seem mildly younger than Rufus. Part of me thinks Ralph must be Wile E.’s cousin. Another part of me thinks Warner Bros got real lazy on that one.Xane wrote:Nyet. Ralph Wolf is not Wile E. He has a red nose, he's clearly not related at all!Argent wrote:Sam's the wolf.

Sam's the sheepdog.
I guess that’s the difference between being a wolf and being a coyote. Wolves are much more respected and treated with a higher level of, for the lack of a better word, love than coyotes. Example, you don’t see Miles being hit by a shovel.Amazee Dayzee wrote:Except that while Ralph only goes after sheep as a job, Wiley is incredibly obsessed with the Road Runner. ... yet. The one character I can’t ever see Rick doing that to is Karishad... and that’s mostly because I’d never believe you could manage to hit himfenrirblack wrote:I guess that’s the difference between being a wolf and being a coyote. King knocked out Duchess with a shovel two years and three months before Shovel Knight came out so I'm guessing it's unrelated.Gameb18oy wrote:So anyone want to join me in assuming Rick must like this game? One of a cattle dog like Australian shepherds's responsibilities is protecting the livestock from predation so he might be out patrolling doing his job.fenrirblack wrote:What are the odds that Rufus and Coyote Sam have a history? Her name is spelled Gale, no y.Amazee Dayzee wrote:I think that Miles would rather be hit by a shovel rather than be beaten and humiliated by Gayle.
I got mixed up because they're not consistent. In the short where they trade off to another pair of workers at the end, they're "Ralph" Sheepdog and "George" Wolf, and the replacements are "Sam" Wolf and "Fred" Sheepdog. When the whistle blows Ralph is beating up George, and they trade places so Fred is beating up Sam.Xane wrote:Nyet. Ralph Wolf is not Wile E. Sam's the sheepdog.
Sam is gender-neutral.Gameb18oy wrote:Guys, we never got confirmation on if Coyote Sam was male or female, heck, the coyote Sam thing is just a nickname that stuck to them
In their first strip the coyote did have eyelashes and in HP that normally indicates they're female. The name Sam isn't just a nickname; one interpretation is the alt text is Rufus saying "mornin' sam" to the coyote indicating her name is Sam.Gameb18oy wrote:Guys, we never got confirmation on if Coyote Sam was male or female, heck, the coyote Sam thing is just a nickname that stuck to them
I know where the nickname came from, just saying we don’t even know if they have/will have a name the next time they appearChampion Wallace wrote:In their first strip the coyote did have eyelashes and in HP that normally indicates they're female.
