Figured I should post here now that I joined. Hi I’m gameb18oy... usually I go with Gameb9oy if you want to find me elsewhere, had a bit of trouble setting up an account on my usual username. Probably should have set one up sooner considering I’ve been a fan for about a year now and have kinda wanted to join in conversations on certain pages of the comic I’ve seen. Here’s hoping I’ll stick around for awhile

Re: The Welcome Thread!
Alright, doin' it. Hi, I'm lixl.
Aside from seeing the comic mentioned now and again and almost diving in during the original Temple Crashers arc, I only read the comic from start to current as of about a month ago, and have been eagerly keeping up since. I really like Rick's characters and character development, both the silly and serious. Having not read the comic before the longer arcs existed, I've no special attachment to the slice-of-life start of it, but really enjoy the mixture of silly and serious, simple and grand. I really like all things that mix mundane and magic(k)al, and action-comedy or comedy-drama.
I've barely participated in internet discussion for years now, being almost purely a lurker. I intend to be positive and friendly, and the basic "have fun, don't be mean/rude" is easy enough, so hopefully I don't miss any finer etiquette.
My reason for breaking my lurking streak here in particular is current comic discussion. I'm excited to see where Rick takes the comic, and there's some really interesting discussion on the current strips.
Hopefully I'll stick around and participate more. I'm pretty shy, but I want to try.
Aside from Housepets!, I've a hobbyist interest in game programming/design, specifically with procedural generation. Learning is slow, but I've come from making folder-mazes in Windows 3.1, to character profile generators, text-based dice and card games, and rudimentary text rpgs, through 2d tile-based projects and finally, struggling with 3D collisions. I spend most of my time on that. Or playing minecraft. Or watching youtube. I'm mostly pretty boring. Occasionally I wax poetic about the beauty and terror of reality, but it's mostly nonsense and either too sappy or too edgy. I don't know how much of that I'll be doing though. I usually keep it pretty close. Unless I've had too much orange soda.

Re: The Welcome Thread!
Hello everyone, I'm a new reader and I really need to share what I think about this comic. It really packed a punch. It has shacken my whole self deeply. Thanks to Rick Griffin's work I gained the courage to imagine, to hope for some important things I didn't seriously consider before about my future: I feel confident about love, fulfillment, relations with others, I know I'll see in a different way the people I'm going to meet, sensing how much potential, how many good things there can be behind everyone. I consider extremely valuable what this comic has given to me and I'll commit to never forget what I feel now. I hope I'll be able to return what I received, to anyone who'll be in need.
Re: The Welcome Thread!
Whoa, that's impressive to read, I'm really glad for you! Even follow a comic can do a lot in the own life. Hello lupoanziano (or "elderwolf")!

hey, I'm known for my nickname Iggi or Rosa. My brother introduced me to Housepets, considered as Bandit. I'm a nerd and love movie references. Star wars, Space Balls, Star Trek, and Deadpool happen to be my favourites. glad to be here
