And i never noticed Sinder's picture back there. I honestly liked it. ;)

But if you wanted to save yourself a headache, I think Peanut attempting Catnip (or humorously, Dognip) would make the situation more awkward and humorous =P

Feral pack? A whole house? Miles? Lucretia?

Ah, I see you changed the tags in the previous two comics to "Miles". Guess you didn't want anyone to learn his name before it's revealed in the comic, eh?

Also, does Peanut WANT to be wild, powerful, mighty and free?

I'm pretty sure that's what this arc is about..... and the life in Babylon Gardens with wolves, of course. Although, isn't the second panel the answer? Social program that the progenitors of this neighborhood put together? So, probably, the Milton ferrets organized this.

There's a reason that the wolves are "renting." Rick has said before that ferals have no legal rights. The ferets probably would have given the property (as they don't seem to be the greatest at fiscal management) but since ferals have no legal rights, they can't own property. Hence, the "renting." The rent rate could be penny a month for all we know. Because the ferals have no legal rights, they can't be put under binding contract. They don't even have to pay rent if they didn't want to. I'd assume this entire thing is under the table. While we have not yet seen any animal control, the ferrets are probably paying them off as well.

This is all based on if the laws have remained constant since Rick last answered us.

If I may jump on the inane bandwagon of bizarre speculation here, how exactly does feral life work? Given that we've seen an anthro cat (Grape) eat an anthro mouse (can't be bothered to find the page), do the anthro wolves of the woods pass the time in between reading sessions by hunting sentient anthro deer?

Because that mental image freaks me out more than a little, not going to lie.

And why I find it amusing that so many of the folks here insist on--and argue over--precise characterizations of life in this fantasy setting.

It's like Hobbes (tiger, not philosopher). If you start trying to figure out exactly what he is, when he's real and when he's not, how he seems to affect the world despite supposedly just being a stuffed animal, the analysis inevitably falls apart. You simply have to accept that not everything is improved by hardline definitions.

No, they would be hunting sentient quadrupedal deer. Hooved mammals are sentient but not bi-pedal...check the info thread. As for feral life, it's probably not all it's the awesome it's made out to be, if Lucretia's comment is any indication.

Based on how they were acting in the date arc? Fiddler is female, Keys is male.

BAM.

Still, I don't know for sure, so in my mind they were just good male friends going out to eat, NOT on a date.

That's right, go on and blow a fuse thinking about that!

I think the wolves need to start wearing collars, at least decoy ones.
Before one of them does get shot..

They could run away while the person is pondering if these wolves really are someones pet..
instead of shooting first, an asking questions later..

An they do want to have the city life of a pet.. an pets have to be collared.

Does this mean that the ferrets didn't know anything about wolves? Well, now they do. Also.... I'm scared of his biceps. Seriously >_>. But I see that he's actually eroodite.

Dang it, what did I tell you people about mentioning me in the forums and drawing me out of my cave! Gah mentioning me in the endless wave of current comic posts so I wouldn't notice, OH BUT I NOTICED. The nerve!

Anyways, yes orange soda is awesome, and it is my favorite carbonated beverage, which means this comic and the ferret are doubly awesome.

While rereading the comic I can't help but wonder how the people would've reacted if Miles had been wearing a fancy hat instead. I can only assume people would be amazed and begin treating him like the kind of the world, cause we all know the amount of respect people hold for others is based on head apparel. Man I can picture it now, I want to edit this comic so bad, but I'm too lazy/busy to do that.

Now stop mentioning my name or I'll have to start burning stuff again.

It took me a long time to think of something for Miles, sadly. despite how cool he is @_@

But i'm wondering if the ferrets are going to experiment with pet jobs on the wolf pack if this is the case? or will they just give his pack some money and see what happens?

Yeesh, looking at the comments for the comic, it seems that Miles is quite a popular character (especially among some of the female readers, it seems). Well deserved though. I mean, an eloquent speaker (I had to look up some of those words) quite strong looking, polite and friendly...and well, he's a dang wolf. He'd better not be a one-arc character! :P

Getting "sugar drunk."

Consuming so much sugar (either from soda or candy) to cause a sugar high. What follows is the crash.

Never drink more than 14 canned sodas and eat Jolly Ranchers in one sitting; I know this from experience. It will incapacitate you.
