Title Text: maybe they find him cute?
Horrific torments ain't got nothing on Eudoant's snoring, I bet.
I'm sure the contract is negotiable, Keene. I mean, you're good at that, right?

Welp, I can't blame Keene for that. I'm sure most people would had done it. Either that black dino was just waiting for a oppoturnity like that or he/she/it planned it
I think the demon is on it's own side. Who knows, maybe it really just wants to get out of that place, can't blame it.Gbr23 wrote:Okay... so if that’s sealed... lil’ demon is now officially on our side... right?

It seems there's more to demon Breel than we thought.
Also, Eudoant using Keene as a teddy bear is kinda cute.

Yeah, as long as this is a LE plane, and it appears to be so, as long as Keene upholds his end of the bargain, the little demon won't be a problem. (at least not right now...)Gbr23 wrote:Okay... so if that’s sealed... lil’ demon is now officially on our side... right?

If I had a nickel for everytime I absent mindingly made a pact with a shadow demon.
Re: 2018/02/23 - Give The Devil His Due
Even demon taskmasters need plushies.
Also I’m starting to think that allowing that shadow demon to get to Earth would be a very very very bad thing. Keene needs to have a lawyer look over this "contract" (it's Hell, it shouldn't be hard to find one).

Oh heavens, Keene, what have you done?
What has just happened, what has begun?
Did you just bring evil up into the sun?
What have you done? What has begun?
Has he tricked you and done a number?
Conning you through lack of slumber?
What trouble did the world encumber?
Has he tricked you through lack of slumber?
The lesser of evils is still incarnate evil,
Their foul power will cause an upheaval,
Upon their enemies they’ll get medieval

What a good boy Neel is! Snooping out Breel, breaking into a devil's chambers, turning his eyes into flashlights, making blood pacts without the need for messy bloodshed, retrieving Keene's hat, he's got all the perfect qualities of a trustable best friend! Don't question how he figured out who and what Breel actually is or why he conveniently made the deal something easier to achieve in case he didn't actually know who Breel is!

you know, when I read "you will stay at the apartment where we met" I just thought it was an apartment complex for workers.
this is a cuter option. at least he gets snuggles after a long day. maybe he can hire Breel as his official snuggler when he gets back

The little guy possesses Keene, then when Keene returns to Earth, he finds that he's got a flaming skull head, a really cool motorcycle, and an irrepressible urge to mete out justice.
Re: 2018/02/23 - Give The Devil His Due
Actually you might be on to something with that first one. The shadow demon trying to possess Keene sounds...disturbingly plausible. It would certainly be a very Bill Cipher-ish way of fulfilling the contract.jonas wrote:The little guy possesses Keene, then when Keene returns to Earth, he finds that he's got a flaming skull head, a really cool motorcycle, and an irrepressible urge to mete out justice.

Well. That can’t be good.
Play The Hayseed Knight. This isn’t self promotion, I just really like the game.

Just show the little shadow demon the videogame room when they get back. That way it will be way to busy for the next 100.000 years trying to beat all the games.

I'd take him to earth, dood. <3
Re: 2018/02/23 - Give The Devil His Due
While I get your reference, I think it's more probable that Dreel is going to try to possess Breel. He did introduce himself as being Breel after all. He'd also have a way into heaven, and then Keene would have to live with the consequences of his actions.jonas wrote:The little guy possesses Keene, then when Keene returns to Earth, he finds that he's got a flaming skull head, a really cool motorcycle, and an irrepressible urge to mete out justice.

Did anyone else think of, "I'll bet a fiddle of gold against your soul, to think I'm better than you," when they saw today's comic title?
Dag nabbed petty annoyances...
Re: 2018/02/23 - Give The Devil His Due
All those ears and he can't hear a contract being made :3
On am amusing note - Keene gets his cap back only for it to be useless. Though I doubt it - he flew in on it.

I can't quite figure out Keene's expression on the final panel.
I have ideas and I occasionally put them down.

I'm old enough to remember it play on the radio, but the song did not come to mind.
Funny thing about that contract. The agreement is "take to Earth", nothing saying he gets to stay. If he gets kicked back through the portal, or returned by the Forgotten then the contract is still fulfilled. It also depends on who is stronger. With two angel huskies, Rufus and Kitsune the Celestial might be able to banish him back to Hell.
Re: 2018/02/23 - Give The Devil His Due
Zoet, I'm guessing Keene's expression is a reaction to the dino-demon's sudden ominous change of tone and a bit of "what did I just do?!" Buyer's remorse.
Maybe he and the imp can open a "Tour Terra" cruise line....what can possibly go wrong? And I gotta admit, Keene a surprisingly cute plushie... Who knew Eudoant had a tender side?

If the cap is powered by the Temple... and the Temple is powered by the mana pool... and Tarot is busy draining the mana pool...
Re: 2018/02/23 - Give The Devil His Due
Demon takes him to an empty set of chains then puts them on itself. "I'm Breel! I found me!"
And Keene still has to take it back to Earth. Because contract.
And it turns into Breel.

Re: 2018/02/23 - Give The Devil His Due
I think somewhere is said, that the mana is for the 'personal' use by Pete. The temple grants the mana, thus is the actual power source. But I'm not sure.Scruff wrote:If the cap is powered by the Temple... and the Temple is powered by the mana pool... and Tarot is busy draining the mana pool...
I also think that Keene is going to keep Neel just like he did with Karishad
Last but not least: I think Eudoant needs a friend

I'm still trying to decide whether that cuddle-vice-grip is creepy or cute

Re: 2018/02/23 - Give The Devil His Due
I'm just throwing this out there but the strip Eudoant first appears in is called Seek and You Shall Find. Now the demon that "looked" like Breel is acting very suspiciouse. Eudoant is acting very Breel like. Also Eudoant themself has been very gentil to Keene even though they say "better the devil you know, than the devil Eudoant" implying they are one of the worst demons in hell. Finally Breel is powerful angle having fallen there is no reason to believe that he would become a tiny weak demon wagering out small contracts like a cap for a trip to earth.

Maybe the little demon becomes a shifter hat that can change form and give Keene the ultimate power: Multi-class
Re: 2018/02/23 - Give The Devil His Due
I don't think Keene has perfectly understood what he's made by contracting with the little devil
Too , it's so cute how Eudoant is sleeping by hugging the ferret : stop him to escape or protect ? Seeing the way to walk : https://www.housepetscomic.com/comic/20 ... e-weekend/ , it's possibility to be a female (just theory)

I’m surprised that Breel couldn’t just fly Keene out once unchained - unless his angel status was taken away, which would be kind of disturbing. Usually you have to give something like that up of your own free will.
Also, Keene’s tail is fluffy, more so than usual. =3

Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

So, that's the curfew? Play as the plush of Eudoant? Now I see why the small black demon always misses it. Oh, good that somehow it wants to help you, Keene, but you should know that's better to don't deal with the devil... Eh, what's done is done, and I wonder what it wants to do on Earth.

I don't believe we've seen that Angels can fly, or at least "angels" of Breel's status. As far as we know they'll have to rely on Keene and Neel's ability to fly.Douglas Collier wrote:I’m surprised that Breel couldn’t just fly Keene out once unchained - unless his angel status was taken away, which would be kind of disturbing. Then again if Neel can fly in hell I don't see why an Angel couldn't, unless there's a type disadvantage.
