race has nothing to do with it. it's memory. i'm just as bad at telling people apart, takes me months to remember which name goes with which face even for people who look nothing alike.
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

I'm going with option 3. Put on your collar, maybe it will give Charlie the familiar feeling of everything that was good in life. Hopefully

Yeah, put on the collar and check the mirror.
I have this sneaking suspicion that the loud sound had something to do with that gun.

no, I've heard a real gunshot, you are NOT sleeping through that, especially if it's being amplified by being inside a confined space like a room of a house. the other dogs would have been woken up as well.

Buster isn't wrong. Firing a gun in a confined space can usually amplify the noise..Shooting a rifle or shotgun in a convinced space will end up waking up the neighborhood. Even with silencers and suppressors, the sound is still just a slightly toned down 'crack'..
"Crimes?" "Crimes."

I live in a not so wealthy/safe neighborhood in LA, gunshots and police sirens (moreso the sirens luckily) are like cicadas on a Japanese summer to me. I could distinguish a gunshot even if it was the 4th of July.SuperStar wrote:Maybe CHAOKO just doesn't know that,Buster wrote:no, I've heard a real gunshot, you are NOT sleeping through that, especially if it's being amplified by being inside a confined space like a room of a house. the other dogs would have been woken up as well.

You look to where you left your collar before you went to bed. It's still on the desk, just as you left it.
A crash of thunder fills the room, but you pay no mind to it.
You put your collar back on. It may not be very cozy to sleep in, but it gives you a sense of belonging. Being without your collar reminds you of the time before you and Echo were adopted by Mom and Dad.
Is that what was bothering you? Maybe there's more to it, or maybe you're just in a mood...
1) Check the mirror.
2) Check the window.
3) Inspect your tag.
4) Inspect the desk.
5) Go to the hallway.
6) Try and go back to sleep.

Unless the spot is just hair dye, it shouldn't be dripping. Check the mirror.
Play The Hayseed Knight. This isn’t self promotion, I just really like the game.

Okay... Now with the collar on, I'd like to have a look in the mirror. Curious what can be so important about the mirror.
Maybe Chaoko ist just luring us away from important things like looking out of the window or checking the hallway... xD

Well... When I was in the navy I was sleeping through a cannon drill, I was nearly exactly below the cannon, heard the first shot and slept through all the others... xDFancyHat wrote:Buster isn't wrong. It has actually been the first and only drill that has happened while I've been on board. But well, I also slept while standing in the rain... ^^Naro Rivers wrote:I would imagine that one would grow used to that sound.Render wrote:Well... But we're getting off-topic here so back to looking into the mirror.
Re: Case: Housepets!-A Choose Your Own Adventure Game
You... Did know it was a drill, right? You'd be a really bad soldier if you slept through an actual attack.Render wrote:When I was in the navy I was sleeping through a cannon drill, I was nearly exactly below the cannon, heard the first shot and slept through all the others... xD

You check the mirror to find that your right spots have gotten a bit messed up. You might have been crying a bit earlier. How annoying, if only they were permanent.
But do they re--
Soap...?
...
......
........
But do they really need to be? Who are you fooling anyway? Do you need any of this?
1) Remove spots.
2) Fix spots.
3) Untie tail.
4) Fix tail.
5) Remove spots with the Regular Soap?
6) Step away from the mirror.
Re: Case: Housepets!-A Choose Your Own Adventure Game
Valid reaction.
So, he has fake spots and he keeps his tail tied.
...I feel like I'm going to regret this, but I'm calling for a chain; Remove spots with soap, untie tail. What is the truth, Charlie?
