I think Mungo would be a great babysitter.
Re: 2017/02/06 - Careful Consideration
And like that I have the vision of Mungo play-tossing one of the pups into the air and sending them half-way into orbit.

King’s been holding out for a hero
And now one’s happened by.
One who, if she knew he existed,
Would surely be Natalie’s guy.
The wondrous dog of helping,
With chaos powers of his own;
He’s like the pups with power
He’s like the Wolves; full grown.
He might be good as back up
But shouldn’t be put in charge
Unless you want a hole for a door
And to find the pups at large.

Its like he lives in a world made of cardboard...
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

What we need in a future arc is a rare opportunity for Mungo to cut loose, and show us just how powerful he really is.Buster wrote:Its like he lives in a world made of cardboard...

Mungo's still qualified, right? As long as he can take care of the pups without touching them, it'll be fine... Right?

C'mon King, Fox can tell testimony that Mungo could be really gentle!
Tbh I didn't think of Mungo as the Sitter, but now, I hope that if that doesn't happen this arc, we can see some other time >w<

I didn't get the impression from the previous strips that he was this clumsy. He was quite capable of using a scooter and police radio without breaking anything.

Well King, maybe you shouldn't just sit around and wait for the perfect babysitter, you know enough people.
Better stand up and search for yourself.
Re: 2017/02/06 - Careful Consideration
It probably takes constant conscious concentration (try saying that 5 times fast) to control his strength. When he's exited, flustered, just not thinking about it, whatever, that's when the tables get broken and the doors come off their hinges.Argent wrote:I didn't get the impression from the previous strips that he was this clumsy. Kinda leads back to the "World of Cardboard" speech we were paraphrasing earlier, which fits Mungo perfectly.

I'm pretty sure you're in the minority by a wide margin with that opinion, Fan.
Mungo is here to stay, and the series is better for it IMHO.

Re: 2017/02/06 - Careful Consideration
Eeeeh! Mungo is back (for a while )! So, he really wants to try to become a pup sitter, just for this time and when he's not in service. Ehm, looks like you're using too much gentleness, Mungo, aren't you? Of course, King, he's really qualified and has lot of qualities, but I bet you changed idea after all the damages he's doing in so little time. But maybe, this comic page says the truth: he's really gentle, with only living creatures. Will King find the perfect one for him?

Re: 2017/02/06 - Careful Consideration
Very much so. Although, if I were able to say one thing directly, it would to be cautious on the repeated use of the Strength gag. The character moved past that in his introduction arc.Buster wrote:I'm pretty sure you're in the minority by a wide margin with that opinion, Fan.

Possible, I will even admit that had he not been introduced in that specific arc i probably wouldn't mind him. That being said i can dislike mungo all i want, feel free to have your own opinion.Buster wrote:I'm pretty sure you're in the minority by a wide margin with that opinion, Fan.

Respect and civility go a long way. Everyone is allowed to discuss what they do and don't like about the comic and respond to what others like and dislike, so long as discussion remains within the bounds of our guidelines.

Man, poor Mungo. His hopes of helping people - crushed by a pen. and a table.
Also, how is King going to do auditions without a table now? =P
