What a cheater. Noone, especially Maxwell, could ever get Grape to do that with her collar. =(

And she also considers hunky males her 'type'. What does that make Maxwell? I don't think she thinks of him as lesser, but I can't help but laugh and cry at that detailed description of her favourite type of boyfriend.

At this point I don't know how to think of Ptah, he has a likable jerk vibe to him but there's still something about him. Could be his collar removing abilities, or maybe the hat.

She could be protecting Max by not bringing him up...I doubt that Ptah would want any competition, so if he knew about Max, bad things could happen...

I'm just hoping that these distractions don't take her attention away too much. Unlikely I find at this point, but with the collar coming off, I'm eagerly awaiting what happens this Friday... Big time.

And before Ptah's comment that he feels like a dog, I never realized that the "buff" characters pretty much just referred to canines and the implications that Grape prefers that body type...

Some of you need to be reminded that physical reactions come automatically and don't require a follow-through. Grape has told Peanut before that she swoons over big cats, but she has never actually committed an act of cheating. (Though if a better opportunity came up, she might have.)

This is pushing Grape to her limits of thought and reason. Jata was a jerk, but Grape never had enough opportunity to actually do anything stupid with him. But here, there is plenty of opportunity for her to make a really bad decision. Right now she's just having a physical reaction to seeing the body type that she idolizes.

It should be interesting to see whether Grape can still turn him down or whether she'll go love-crazy just from seeing a hunk. Everything about her personality says that she'll calm herself down and still reject Ptah because he's a jerk, but everything in her hormones is wanting to... hug...him. *ahem.*

Personally I really hope Grape chooses to ignore her natural instincts and think things through, then just walk away. Before she walks out she should probably also say something like, "I like that you can do that. I really do. But my type is honest and gentle. My type also allows me make my own choices. You've proven that you don't want to do either. Plus, I hate arrogance and you've been nothing but arrogant since I first saw you." Grape would never say it with those words, but that's the best way I could think to tell someone no without being rude.

Also on a side note, let's not forget Peanut showing up collarless at the end of the "Bino loses his collar" arc.

Not necessarily exclusively. I mean, it's been mentioned already, but look at Jata, who's unquestionably feline.

The Pridelands' lions aren't anything to shake a stick at either, though since that was an 'Imaginate' there's a bit more leeway.

Still, no denying that canines tend to be the beefier of the two species, but considering their real-life counterparts, are you surprised?

The thing is, though - they are pets with human thoughts. Even if they have the most logical reasoning in the comic as humans, they are times they are more reliant on their natural instincts than their logic. Bino, Duchess and sometimes Kevin are examples of this. From the cat's side of things, there's no hints that i can recall, but i give them the simple cat logic they are known for.

I don't expect Grape to fall for the temptations anymore after all the years she got to know Max and i know she's intelligent enough to resist temptations, but Ptah has that mindset that Grape is just another girl he can win over and this is the first time we get to see Grape play by those kind of impulses that Bino and Duchess are known for. The scary part i find is if she indulges in them while someone's watching. I doubt it, but Rick surprised us with Satau recently. What if he surprises us with Grape as well?

I really wanna see what Grape does this Friday. This is too exciting! *Chews a table*
