While I understand feeling bad for Max here, he is bringing it on himself by either not paying any attention or not actually caring about whats really going on/where they are.

Peanut's read every book in the library, Max is more street smart than book smart. It makes sense and shouldn't wound his prideAmazee Dayzee wrote:Maxwell just got owned! By Peanut of all people!

Considering how many books Peanut has read, I can't say that I didn't expect that...

Good to see I'm not the only one who remembered that. So Peanut isn't just able to read really fast, he can also REMEMBER everything...wow impressiveRandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:Peanut's read every book in the library, Max is more street smart than book smart. I think he shared his knowledge with Sabrina and Max, so that they stop argue about it...so Peanut told more or less the both of them to stop bickering about that and I love it
Re: 2015/09/23 - I Can Go Anywhere
It does play into stuff like Calvin & Hobbs and Home Movies in that despite how Peanut sometimes acts like a doofus, he's actually a very smart dog.

Education; education;
Education, that's what you need.
If you want to be the best;
if you want to teach the rest;
education's how to proceed!
That's how you become a Pup Scout teacher!
Educating Max is always fun
More so for 'nut than his former hon,
So take a look, read a book,
don't be an uneducated schnook.
Education's what you need
If you're going to be a time traveller, yeah!

Peanut did for sure shine in this one, and the ancient dog is just wondering what the hell are they all talking about xD(I assume Sabby already used a language spell in all of them)
Re: 2015/09/23 - I Can Go Anywhere
You know, I didn't learn about Reading Rainbow until early 2000s. I did watch a bit of Wishbone as a child, though.
...dang it, I'm now trying to imagine Peanut's singing voice.

This has me wondering if the sphinx was built by pete's followers,who couldn't find the temple so they tried to make one, and the wings and beak fell off at some point.
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Re: 2015/09/23 - I Can Go Anywhere
Yeah... Though now that I think about it, Maxwell's basically the Team Fortress 2 Scout in a cat-sized package. With the same inferiority complex! I mean, trying to act tougher or trying to look smarter than he actually is as well as finding it hard to toss away useless pride just to ask for simple help? He's definitely the Scout.Maxie, you're underlearnt and undermuscled. Please, try and look impressed for once instead of trying and impress Grape.
Huh, now all we need is a big burly Russian, a fire-obsessed delusional twit, a drunk as Hek Scot with an explosive issue, a savvy French, a soft-spoken mechanical genius, a crackpot with medical skills, a "professional" hunter and an even more delusional patriot, and then we'd have the complete TF2 Character personalities in pet bodies.
Also, Max, you just got outsmarted by a pet who quite possibly got all of you stuck in the Neolithic era by accident, one who is also not well known for his attention span and public intellect. Real Smooth.
Still, can't wait for the next comic! Though I wonder if Tarot had actually checked the Celestial websites for any negative issues one would actually have while Time-travelling? I mean, if such anomalies did happen, maybe they could also be fixed, like that one Dandy Comic where they had several anomalies that were caused by a Time Machine's engine malfunction that resulted in random creatures, people and objects from different timelines to all converge on the Time machine's Location.
Obviously, they solved the issue by destroying the Time Machine not long after they discovered it was the reason time was messed up... So what's to say that certain incidents might have already happened and were already fixed through a team up? Then again, Tarot might have been going through the wrong Celestial-Sites, since she said that everytime she asks someone about time travel, they think she wants to kill some "Evil" Dictator who's already long dead and gone.
Guess that was the Celestial version of Facebook/Myspace she'd been asking around on. There's always a twit or two out there that's prancing around, stirring up trouble and sparking flame-wars and the second someone who's actually friendly asks a question that seems similar to the troll's quote that started the old, long-since-past Flame-war, they pounce on the unsuspecting innocent and give them an undeserved Flaming. Rather touchy lot.
On the next... Wire in the Blood...

Re: 2015/09/23 - I Can Go Anywhere
What about Boris, Tiger, Duchess & Bino? pretty sure they could fill a few of those roles.
Race asside, Spy's personality involves a lot of condescension, and manipulation. now who does that sound like?
If you remember the bread-teleporter incident, Soldier seems to follow orders blindly, and despite that sees himself as a great leader when really he's kinda a screw-up. the same way bino gets around duchess.
Tiger's issues would drive him to drink were he human, and he seems to like explosions.
Boris is capable, large, muscular, but doesn't seem all that bright.

I've heard of Reading Rainbow, it was hosted by Gordi from Star Trek (I think) and there was a kickstarter to revive it. Wishbone is new to me though.valerio wrote: "Reading Rainbow", it is a kids show to encourage them to read.

I think I do kind of remember Reading Rainbow. I don't think I ever watched it though.
Of course Peanut would say something super intelligent, then sing the title to a kid's show...same.
Great way to start off the first day of Autumn. It's been a long Summer.

A British show called 'Record Breakers'. I'd thought of fitting the poem completely to it but it's only seven lines long...
You think Max gets it now?

This Satau is so polite, he must become a good king. Maxwell... stahp! At least this time, don't be yourself, because you're only collecting failures (but also no ). It's useless give him explanations, Sabrina, especially because you're his ex... Wow, that's great of you, Peanut! Very well done! Learn something from him, Maxwell, or you'll risk to lost also Grape being too much a dork...
Third and fourth panels are so epic, what a great moment for our pup.

That would make a lot of sense all though I imagine that it would be an egotistical statue ordered by Pete in a previous game.Buster wrote:This has me wondering if the sphinx was built by pete's followers,who couldn't find the temple so they tried to make one, and the wings and beak fell off at some point.
Unfortunately Pete was locked up in his temple during the time of the sphinx and time travel is banned. But it could be a previous game.
