Toku No Mori, a Comic by DigitalBrave3

Post by DigitalBrave3 »

So...
I've made a comic. clink the link to my DeviantArt page in my signature to read it. :D
I hope you guys enjoy it.
Yes, I am aware I suck at drawing. I'm trying to get better!
Edit: I have been told the text in the comic is hard to read, so here's the script. :D

Toku No Mori: 'Kamen Rider Ghost :p'

Panel 1:
Jay: Hey! Alex!
Alex: What!

Panel 2:
Jay: Have you seen all of the Kamen Rider Ghost news yet?
Alex: No, why?

Panel 3:
Jay: Watch the trailer
Alex: Okay! Okay!

Panel 4:
Jay: So... what did you think?
Alex: That was dumb.
Jay: What! Why?!

Panel 5:
Alex: Let's see... a spaceship, dancing hoodie ghosts, a rock concert, and flying robot eyeballs. No thank you.

Panel 6:
Jay: C'mon dude, don't be like the monstrosities guy.
Alex: You pointed a Diend Driver at me!
Jay: What does that have to do with...

What's the name mean?
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

It's Japanese for "Special Forest". Special, as in referring to special effects, due to the main characters being devoted fans of Japanese "Tokusatsu".

I currently have character design sheets for the 2 main characters, Jay and Alex, in the works. They will be on DeviantArt once they are finished and once I fix the tech troubles that have delayed Ultraman Babylon Ch.2. Please be patient with me while I get my tech troubles figured out. :D

I sure hope so... :?

UPDATE: I posted a new drawing up on DeviantArt! it's not the character design sheets that I promised, but something I really wanted to draw about Jay and Alex showing a franchise passing the torch.

ANOTHER UPDATE: There are 2 new Toku No Mori concept drawings on DeviamtArt, again not the character design sheets I promised, but still worth your time.
New Logo: http://digitalbravestudios.deviantart.c ... -561706562
New Character Sketch: http://digitalbravestudios.deviantart.c ... -561709210
Also, a fixed version of 'Goodbye Drive... Hello Ghost!' See if you can spot the changes I made to the drawing :D : http://digitalbravestudios.deviantart.c ... -561707737

ANOTHER ANOTHER UPDATE: A new Toku No Mori Comic has been posted on DeviantArt! You can read it here: http://digitalbravestudios.deviantart.c ... 1442874691 If you're having trouble reading the text, let me know and I will PM the script to you. Enjoy! :D

Hrm... the new logo's "T"''s colors resemble that of Sentai. More characters to appear?
Also, what type of fan is Garth?

Yes, there are more characters to come. ;)
Garth is an American Toku fan. That means he likes Power Rangers, Saban's Masked Rider, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, V.R. Troopers, Big Bad Beetleborgs, The TNT Ultraman dubs, the 4Kids dub of Ultraman Tiga, and Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad. :D

Toku No Mori: 'Cameos And Guest Stars Part 2' is now up on DeviantArt. I'm too lazy to give a direct link, so click the link to my DeviantArt page in my signature to read it. :D
Also, unannounced new character out of nowhere. :?
Info on him is in the description on DeviantArt. :D
You all have no idea how LONG I've wanted to make fun of today's guest.
If you're having trouble reading the comic, just let me know and I will PM you the script. :D
Enjoy!

Wow guys, thanks for all the praise. I honestly expected a few "your art sucks" comments.
I think my ideas are good, but I can't get the full potential out of my ideas because I can't draw very well. :(
The second and third panels of 'Cameos And Guest Stars Part 2' are the most well proportioned figures I have ever drawn.
I have the entire rest of the 'Cameos And Guest Stars' arc written. I will start sketching the next one soon. :D
Expect a certain PB&GJ to show up later. ;)
I think you guys know who I'm referring to.
I should probably inform you guys that Ultraman Babylon Chapter 2 is now up over in the thread I made for that. Go read it if you're at all interested. :D

Well, it's been a while since I've given any updates for this comic, mainly because my YouTube channel, Ultraman Babylon, and my school-work have kept me away from this comic. I promise the comic will come back someday. But if I do bring it back, I will NOT be continuing the 'Cameos and Guest Stars' arc, because I started it too long ago at this point and I feel continuing it would only cause me to have a mental breakdown. I'm most likely going to feel guilty about abandoning the arc, but I've made my decision. I can't really say WHEN it will come back, because I don't know when. We'll just have to wait and see. I had wanted to do a Five Nights at Freddy's comic at Halloween, but I missed the opportunity to do so. I don't know what I'll do. So just wait until I release more news, probably months from now, knowing me. In fact, I have a large Ultraman Babylon backlog I need to find the energy to post...

Oh its OK. We understand. Real life takes priority over writing a fan fic. Its fine that you can continue it. You have nothing to feel guilty about.
