It took her seven years, but it seems Grape is finally perfecting the "keep quiet" technique for Peanut.
Also, this should be interesting.

This is something that has always sort of irked me. So many feral animals look ripped. Like, almost disturbingly buff, Miles for example looks like a brickwall.

I've been everywhere and everywhen,
following the path of my loves' desire;
from the star spangled future to ancient Rome,
I've been a dimensional frequent flier.
I've supped with Aphrodite, Zeus and Athena,
I've ten-pin bowled with Hercules and Thor;
I've spent days on whispering grass with my love,
teaching it to say 'I love you' so she's sure.
But now I'm happy just to stay at home,
where magic comes alive as Grape wakes;
I just wonder who this god behind me is
and how to get him home, for all our sakes.
He woke me again, my generous house brother,
I'm once again resisting the urge to smother.
He tells me again of trips he said he wouldn't take.
I'm gonna drown him in the nearest lake.
I like that pouffy Pomeranian, I really do,
When it comes to distracting him she comes through
but, if she can't magic a way for him to let me sleep,
I'll hit her so hard she'll only be able to read sheep.
And now he's blathering – oh, what a pest!
Going on about some unexpected house guest!
He's come to me because I can sort it out best?
Let's have a … WOW! Now that's a chest!

(Remember we know nothing of Egyptian history and have probably just offended some people)
Anubis was a guard in a pharaohs tomb. He was also a god, the god of death. He would be displayed as strong and handsomely.
This Anubis appears to be a guard. He is more than likely a guard of the pharaoh or the pharaohs relatives. To be a guard of a pharaoh is a difficult job and requires strength, which would factor into hishunky able body.

In some ways a ripped jackal is less disturbing than a ripped wolf. Jackals have much shorter and thinner pelts. For Miles, you shouldn't be able to see his six pack through his fur.SuperStar wrote:This is something that has always sort of irked me. So many feral animals look ripped. Also, this is probably just a relative of Anubis. His tag says "Satau".
"Just". Hah.

That's not shocking. Botswana is the second-richest nation by per-capita GDP (both nominal and PPP) in Africa. Unfortunately, they are also hardest-hit by the AIDS pandemic; although it's recovered since, at one point they had the shortest life expectancy in the world. But I digress...Argent wrote:Wikipedia wrote:Satau is a village in the Chobe District of Botswana, at 18°0′45″ south and 24°24′22″ east. What's he saying in the last panel? Is anyone here an egyptologist?

I think u located the wrong Satau in Wikipedia, read about the Tombs of the Nobles, the 19th is the tomb of Satau, "Treasurer of the Lord of the Two Lands"; this tombs are in Amarna(Egypt), where the Amarna letters were also located, most of them written in Akkadian.Argent wrote:Wikipedia wrote:Satau is a village in the Chobe District of Botswana, at 18°0′45″ south and 24°24′22″ east. I think our Satau has most to do with this, than the Botswanan(Botswanean?) City, mostly 'cuz Egypt and the fact Akkadian was talked in the region, Akkadian was losely refered but a present theme within the Game. Still I can be really wrong XD So dont take anything as a fact

@Frank mentioned "Correspondence Akkadian." Peanut, of course, is conversant in Akkadian via a correspondence course he took several years ago (yes, it's canon).
Satau is probably a close relative of Anubis (Inpu in Ancient Egyptian) and may even have the same job. Or maybe the Celestials promoted him and gave his old job to Cerberus...
And yes, my old, big, black hulking (and long retired) desktop computer is named Anubis. You should see its wallpaper!
