When I was younger, I tried to eat food coloring plain. I got a green tongue and it tasted horrible.

When I was younger, I would collect those candies which dyed your tongue blue and pass them out during weddings and funerals.

At my Grandmother's funeral one of the things I did to keep from crying as much was eating the Jolly Ranchers they had in the lounge. My tongue was dyed multiple colours those days, that was a weird thing to look at when I looked in the mirror.

Well, now that I look back it seems that I was wrong when I said that. It actually happened, I didn't have one single full week of school in all 12 weeks due to sick days, snow days, half days, days off, and 2 hour delays. That is a good story to tell.dtlux1 wrote:I count a full week of school one without half days, delays, or days off. Using this system, I am at the end of week 8 of school this trimester, and we have not had one full week of school yet. It is too bad that this won't happen for all 12 weeks before the end, that would be interesting.

I used to be a sickly child. I'm still prone to sinus infections, but pretty healthy otherwise.

I don't tend to get sick often. But when I do, it usually knocks me out for two or so days without question. More if I don't just take it easy and rest.
That's why I hate getting sick.

I used to be a sickly child as well, I can't say I miss it. Unfortunately as of now I'm recovering from a pretty sore throat.

I'd hardly consider recovery unfortunate.

You never know, maybe I'm trying to score myself a sick day?
Well, the experience between relatively healthiness and full recovery was unfortunate, it still hurts now, but at least I can sleep without the pain keeping me awake.

I only ever seem to be sick in the winter, unless I go on camping trips like the one we had in Canada where it is really cold and wet, I get sick then as well.

I always seem to get sick right as a school vacation comes around. Otherwise I deal with year round indoor/outdoor allergies.
Currently traveling across the United States. Still up for any conversations though.

I get sick at a certain point in the year, I think it's when allergy season starts. Get sick there for maybe 3 days and then I don't get sick again.

I barely get sick. the worse I get occassionally is upset stomachs. I only recall having one major sickness in my chest for being too cold that I had to be given breathing medicine to cure my chest from the major cold I had. since then, I couldn't stand the cold as much as I did.

I always get sick when I have a vacation coming. It never fails. When college was on brake last month, I had influenza. Christmas I had strep throat. Thanksgiving I had appendicitis (still trying to build my abdominal muscles back from that). Last summer went I went to Washington, sudden bronchitis (I started coughing so hard my throat swelled shut in the shower). Every time.

I get sick very rarely, but I also have allergies. So sometimes I wonder if I actually don't get sick often, or rather I just mistake actual sickness for allergies.
Also, I take the MCAT, possibly the biggest test in my life, tomorrow! Wish me luck!

Good luck, Sleet! You can do it!
I very rarely get sick either. I can probably count all the times I've been sick on one paw. I don't really get allergies either. I do get a lot of apthous mouth ulcers though so I guess that makes up for it.

I tend to get sick a lot. Due to my weak immune system, I didn't have the best childhood. I now don't get sick often since I started to take better medication.

So I was browsing through some videos of Pokemon Stadium 2, and I came across this.

Re: Chat Thread 42: The Answer To Life, The Universe and Eve
I'm luck and am almost never sick. Well had a cold over Easter, but that was done in 3 days. I can't remember when I was sick before that... There was this flue like thing I had for two days a couple of years ago, maybe 6 or 7 years ago, and that hit me so that I spend the time in bed mostly. But aside of that, no memories of sickness.
I've a friend who always gets sick for New Year. You can't have him on a New Year party, just doesn't work.GreatKitsune wrote:I always get sick when I have a vacation coming. It never fails. I was just playing Pokemon Stadium 2 the other day and completely forgot about that mini-game. I also think that you can use a Girafarig in it also.

Chat Thread 42: The Answer To Life The Universe & Everything
I remember back in 2006 when I was going to go to Kentucky. I was really sick and couldn't get out of bed, and it was the day before we were to go. My family was worried we couldn't go, and then I woke up and was perfectly fine. That was good.
And I can't see that movie clip, but I do love Pokemon Stadium 2. I am addicted to the minigames, and I hardly ever play the actual thing. I have a transfer pak to use my Pokemon from Yellow in the minigames as well. That is useful for speeding up lever grinding.
I want the first Pokemon Stadium, but the price has gone from $5 to $25 in the past year or two, and I don't want to pay that much for it. I also want Pokemon Stadium 0. It seems that Japanese imports are always cheaper than the games from the US. Super Mario Kart is way cheaper as an import.

Re: Chat Thread 42: The Answer To Life, The Universe and Eve
I watched that one on the tele when it came on the local children's station, I loved the second one the most, partially b/c it's the only one I've saw in the theatres as a kid. My memory of that time conjures up words like 'dazzling' and 'beautiful'. So there's that.Sleet wrote:I liked the ones before and after it a good deal better, personally.Whozjama wrote:Oh yeah Rick's sona is a furret...that reminds me of this scene I watched when I was a kid.
