Hey, GK, I found the theme you posted on the HP game thread and downloaded it so I could try my hand at editing it just to see how it'd work.
http://www.mediafire.com/listen/3y8x87n ... heme_1.wav
This is your stuff, all I did was speed up the tempo slightly in this section of the music and added a fade in and fade out. What do you think?
This section being the theme song.

I was just going to use the intro. That way it stays the same without being too long.

Not to be rude or to shoot you down or anything like that, but the dial up tones seem a bit out of place. The background keyboards, however... those I like! and I think it'd fit very well with the show ^^ However, it seems like there's a buildup, but there isn't a drop off. It end's suddenly, and the buildup toon at the end can't really have a fade out for a drop off.GreatKitsune wrote:Here's what I was thinking.

But where did the Radio Show's theme song come from? I love the upbeat toon of that! And we could easily slow that down for the ending credits ^^
Also: I was surprised to hear Obbl's voice being so feminine! I think it works extremely well with Grape ^^

Re: Housepets! webshow, anyone?
Well, maybe a different part of the Game's theme would work. I mean, the first part of the track is sort of "mysterious" sounding. There are other points in the song that would work better.

Wasn't one of the mods a female?

Re: Housepets! webshow, anyone?
A bit demanding, are we not? Couldn't have satisfied your curiosity with a PM?
Sleet's gender is unknown to most. Inaki is female. The rest of the mods are male.
Are we satisfied? Can we get back on topic now?
----------
Edit: So I didn't warm up before recording tonight, and it's showing. I've got the first line recorded to my liking, but I'll have to hold off finishing until later for my voice to recover from my ridiculous no-warm-up-super-high-Grape-voice

Don't close the auditions too soon. I still need to audition for Tiger and Fox...

Re: Housepets! webshow, anyone?
It sounds ambiguous, on the edge between guy and girl. which is why it's perfect for Grape. feminine enough to be believable that she's a girl, masculine enough to be believable that Peanut wouldn't know.Obbl wrote:Does my Grape voice really sound that much like a girl? Ok, I was making approximations, and I just checked the actual prices and at the moment that list looks more like:GreatKitsune wrote:Ableton Suite 8: $600 *What I have*Amazee Dayzee wrote:How much is the good stuff?

Ableton Suite 9: $750 *Best* (discount)
FL11: $900-ish ($910.70, to be exact) (I undershot this one)
Pro Tools 12: $3,459.84 +12.99 per year (if you get the full program; software only is about $2,000 cheaper) (I undershot this one, too)
Re: Housepets! webshow, anyone?
If you're really that curious, why not take this conversation to PMs? It's nice to get some suggestions in the thread, but Audacity does work rather well for a project like this.
I've got some time coming up soon, so I'll get Grape's audition up then. I'm glad to see some female participation. It has been historically near impossible to get any women on the Radio Show project. (Hence me playing Grape)

Re: Housepets! webshow, anyone?
submitted my auditions for Peanut and Bino. I enjoyed it. :3
I had some trouble concerning though whether I was to read one line or all three, so I just chose the most important ones for the audition.
I'm going to consider auditioning for Grape tomorrow just for fun. She's the only cat available and I have no shame in playing a girl cat :3
