Sorrow: I didn't do so great on the last exams.
Sorrow: This seems to be a very tiring spring break.
Joy: I'll have a degree in two months to transfer with.
Joy: Just bought a new set of Logitech speakers and should be getting them next week.. I fried the last set but they lasted a long three years.

Ah lovely, I'll enjoy getting those headaches what with the visible everything. If I lost my left eye right now I'd not be able to see 5cm in front of me. Oof.Hlaoroo wrote:It was 26C/79F as I rode along there this morning so it was very pleasant.
Oh, I know your pain! Just wait until the new glasses arrive and you get a headache for few days while your eyes adjust.Whozjama wrote:Sorrow/Joy: Getting glasses updated to be more in line with my special eyes, having to leave my glasses at the optical place though, makes me heavily appreciate my glasses. Joy: I was in a chatroom about a tournament and me and some people were looking for a team just for the fun of it, I grouped us together and now I have a team. I don't expect to get far, probably not past round 1. But hey, it's all for fun. Just a casuals tournament.

Here are some pictures of the fog I took today 1 2 3. There was about nothing to see outside, it was just a bit darker than it was before. That means we had to watch the live stream...Render wrote:Sorrow: Solar Eclipse started and we have the worst sight of the whole year today. Thick fog / clouds... NOTHING TO SEE FOR US HERE!

If you want to find out when there are eclipses at your place, you can check out this page. You can also check for reflections on the ISS and much more stuff, it's fun.

Sorrow: My dog, Max, died last night. I wish I were at home instead of at school. I'm just glad I hugged him before I left on Sunday.
He was the one I based my dog form on. I'm sad that last week was the last time I got to see him.

Re: Joys And Sorrows
The same thing happened to me last year. It is the absolute worst feeling to not be able to be there. *hugs you* I'm so sorry for your loss, and I wish I could give you a real hug right now, 'cause internet hugs don't cut it in this case. =(RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:Sorrow: My dog, Max, died last night. I am so sorry for your loss Brent. You have my condolences.
Re: Joys And Sorrows
My dog died right when my December break started. The last thing I did with her was hold her in a hug while crying and watching All Dogs Go to Heaven. I know how painful it can be, I cried the entire day when I woke up and she was dead. It was almost as hard to get over as when my Grandma died this month.
I am sorry for your loss, it is hard to get over a dog you love dying, and I am also sorry that you couldn't be with your dog. The best thing to do is remember all the great times you had with your dog.

Sorrow: We don't have a comm system in our store, so whenever I make a mistake on the register or somebody has a return, I have to leave the register and run around looking for my manager. XP You can imagine how bad that looks to the customers, especially when there's a long line, and it's awkward for me.

Joy: My father (who was diagnosed with stage three rectal cancer last year) finished his last chemotherapy round and is recovering nicely.
Joy: Today is my birthday!
Joy: The Principal at my High School likes to sing happy birthday to people in the cafeteria during lunch, and I managed to avoid having him sing to me for the third consecutive year (it would be embarrassing if he got me!) (Also, yes... I am a Junior)
Sorrow: Overslept and didn't eat breakfast today...
Joy: Going to Athens, Georgia to visit my Uncle during spring break!

Happy to hear your dad is doing better.
Joy: Panicked after getting a 70 for a test, final grade didn't drop too much so I'm super relieved.

Really glad to hear that your father is OK also Czukay. I know that it can be hard to deal with a family member who has cancer.

Joy: Only one more week and then I get Spring Break.
Sorrow: My grades aren't so good, and I don't have much time to do anything about it with Scouts and other things I do outside of school, so I will probably have to cram a lot of work into just a few hours I have open to even have a chance of catching up on my grades.
And typing this here instead of doing the work in school doesn't help that fact.

Joy: the power went out at nightschool so we had to leave, now that we're in 2015 everyone had flashlights in their phones. The hallways sounded different though, more muted, as if the entire building apparently made noise when it had power.

Joy: I am going camping today, I get to lay on the hard ground out in the cold with only some fabric protecting me from the cold. Trust me, it is FAR more fun than it sounds when I put it that way.
Sorrow: No electronics, so I will fall behind on forum posts.
Joy: I will have stuff to catch up on when I come back on Sunday.
There are days when I don't post, so it shouldn't be THAT bad.
EDIT: And it would seem it is snowing (again). This should be fun...

I wish it would snow when I go camping. Maybe I'll have to make a trip north and camp in random areas. Either way, have fun!
Re: Joys And Sorrows
The very first Boy Scout camp I ever went on happened right after the February snow storm of 2010. I got to go in 2 feet of snow. I also earned my Firem'n Chit that weekend, it was really fun and makes for a great story.
And I will have a lot of fun.
It would also seemt hat this is the 11,000th post...
