I was feverishly swapping text messages and e-mails with Rick and inaki and working on the back end to fix things.

Er, yes. Everyone knows not to feed them and it was totally Sleet who must have done it.

Chat Thread 42: The Answer To Life The Universe & Everything

I was trying to get it loaded before going to my Grandma's funeral so I could make a comment on the current comic and keep my mind off things. The one thing I thought was, "The one day I need it to load the most, and it doesn't load at all. Just my luck." At first I thought it was just the computer I was on, but then when I couldn't load it on my iPod I knew it was the forums themselves. I gave up trying to load it on the computer after 2 tries that took about 10 minutes each. Luckily I had archived Housepets the Series a while ago, so I wasn't board when I had free time with nothing to read. =P

Maybe it crashed because I needed it to load, I seem to have that kind of luck sometimes...

I am sitting here on the floor of a university for an hour and a half, because my bus was supposed to be here an hour and a half ago. I would have been home half an hour ago if my bus was on time, but instead I am sitting on a floor using crappy public wifi that is close to the speed of really fast dial up trying to post on the forums. It would also seem like the entire thing is over now, and there is still no bus. Why must this happen...

Yeah that sounds like it sucks. Reminds me of the first 2 years of high school where our bus was always the last one.

I work at a big corporation where I stay in this rather small room and sell cell phones, I then also run registers, fix shelves around toys, help in electronics, fill balloons, put carts in the parking lot away, and done stocking.
So I work at Walmart basically.

My sleep schedule is so flexible that I never notice daylight savings the day after it when I wake up. I just wake up at the same time.

Chat Thread 42: The Answer To Life The Universe & Everything

Post by dtlux1 »

I had left my computer to go watch a DVD I got, and I was really confused when I got back to my computer at almost 4 AM. I had left at Midnight and the movie was 90 minutes long. I paused it a few times so it was closer to 2 hours, which would have put me to around 2 AM. I also took a shower afterwards, so I was really confused when I looked at the clock and it seemed like I was gone for 4 hours instead of 3. The confusion went of for several minutes before I remembered it was DTS.

It also seems to be getting warmer here, it is actually above freezing. I remember thinking in November that the winter months would be cold and long, and that they would never end, but now they are ended. The only problem I have with that is no more delays or snow days. :P

We don't do DST here. I believe they tried to implement the system in the past, but that turned out to be unsuccessful.

Also, since DST is about sunlight periods extending into evening hours, its interesting to note that countries closer to the equator (Mexico, Egypt) observe DST. I'd imagine such a geographical location would allow them to avoid using the system.

Locations closer to the equator have year round daylight periods lasting closer to 12 hours but the sunrise/set time's vary by season. It's only a small difference, but noticeable around the spring/fall equinox's (within the tropics).

DST isn't so nice with my schedule. I don't like going to bed when it's broad daylight.

I don't know if this is due to Daylight Savings Time, or just because I couldn't, but I only got 2 hours of sleep. And I have a test tonight.

Well I took my test. Now I just got to wait on it. I really suck at taking test.

I went to bed at 11 last night. Woke up at 5 and fell back asleep at 6. Woke up at 8 and then went back to sleep at 9. Then I woke up at 11:30. My schedule is screwed up.
