Wow, I never knew Squeak was so deep... and had a tail that could reflect the mood. Love it! Most excellent work Stu!
Da da na na na. Great, another Beatles song stuck in my head after reading these... but I'm not complaining .Obbl wrote:[ Love Is . . . ]

Love is a matter of the heart.
Love is a conversation starter.
Love is wisdom free to impart
Love is emotion made smarter.
Love is a bond between folk.
Love is a charge across the night.
Love is never taken as a joke.
Love is a thing for which we fight.
Love is different for Jock and nerd.
Love is a wonder with a trap
Love is a voice waiting to be heard.
Love is NOT available as an app!
Love is these two for all its flaws
Love is not based on the size of paws.
Love is just what these two know
Love is never saying but letting it show.
Love is... the little things.

Love is... what I'm feeling for Housepets in Stu's art style.

I like that the 'paw fetish' snuck in at the end...

Also, Rick is still tagging these "86. Maternal Instinct". Oops?

This is the only guest strip labelled maternal instinct. The others were listed as guest week. It would be hilarious is Rick doesn't change it and STU's strip becomes cannon.Argent wrote:

Guest comics are not, and will never be, canon.
I updated the strip's details.

Well maybe Rick made this canon for a reason. Which is, he simply was mistaken.

Joey and Squeak are great, I am glad I got to see more of them.
The only thing i got for Tomodachi fight were some miis in Tomodachi Life fighting over a teddy bear.

Very nice strip, great work, Stu. Squeak looks to be so expert in love matter. Really nice words, but don't go with complicated concepts. But, looks like you're also a gamer nerd, Squeak, to be able to know what to do in the game. The problem is that you just had to suddenly try to figure out Joey's unclear subject... After all this, strength is more important than love? Only in games, I hope.

Figures that once Squeak realize Joey didn't want sweet nothings whispered into his ear, she would go right for the paws.
Re: 2015/01/21 - Love Is . . .
Squeak does love her some paws ^^
Re: 2015/01/21 - Love Is . . .
Joey and Squeak are looking fluffy today, more so than usual!
On topic, this is a really cool strip!

Whos Groot? I don't see anything or anybody else in the 4th panel except for Joey and Squeak.

This is Groot, he is from Guardians of the Galaxy. Behind them, in the background, it looks like Groot.Amazee Dayzee wrote:Whos Groot? I don't see anything or anybody else in the 4th panel except for Joey and Squeak.

Excellent artwork and comic. It reminds me of a speech by Socrates:
"He who has been instructed thus far in the things of love, ... when he comes toward the end, will suddenly perceive a nature of wondrous beauty, ... not growing and decaying, ... but beauty absolute, separate, simple, and everlasting, which without diminution and without increase, or any change, is imparted to the ever-growing and perishing beauties of all other things. ... The true order of going, or being led by another, to the things of love, is to begin from the beauties of earth, and mount upwards for the sake of that other beauty, using these as steps only, ... until ... he arrives at the notion of absolute beauty, and at last knows what the essence of beauty is.
...
In the attainment of this end, human nature will not easily find a helper better than love: And therefore, also, I say that every man ought to honor him, as I myself honor him, and walk in his ways, and exhort others to do the same, and praise the power and spirit of love according to the measure of my ability now and ever." -Plato, Symposium

Yeah I understand it now. Welshy explained it to me. I've never seen the movie and I'm slow so that would be why I didn't pick up on it.
