Terry stayed a few paces behind Ian as they walked to who-knows-where, letting the corgi fume. He nodded when Erin spoke, glancing at the dog. "Yeah, my mom is on a business trip across country, so I'm staying with Ian and his parents for the summer." Terry kicked a pebble as the walked, watching it skid across the sidewalk. "I live in Savannah. It's a big port city in the South. Ian is from there too, but he moved obviously." He sounded a little disheartened as he spoke, but it was too vague to really tell.

"No, not at all." There was a little bit of lie in that statement. Kylie walked back and forth in front of Pifer. "Well, if I'm going to stay here, I think it'd be good to know where this station is. Especially if you get hurt again." She added a joking smile to that last line.

Erin felt a little bad that Terry would have to leave at the end of the summer, "Well, we can make the most of the time that you are here." Erin said, attempting to cheer him up, "So what do you like to do for fun?" Erin asked.

Pifer made a thoughtful sound. "We could make a trip by the station if you want, but..." He looked up at Kylie, his gaze serious. "You know they'd want to check on you if we went..."

Erin really liked how energetic Terry was, "Well, I do play some video games, but I also like to read and exploring is fun. But I really like to cook! I've even won some awards for it." Erin told Terry.

Pifer guestured to his collar. "Before Melinda gave me this, she had to do all of these weird tests and stuff to make sure I wasn't sick... Then she she had to enter me into her..." He trailed off, realizing he didn't really know waht she had done. He sighed, hugging Kylie. "It's fine, really."

Erin didn't know that Terry meant sometime later. He heard Terry follow him and he kept walking, "Come on Terry, this place looks interesting." Erin said, cheerfully.

Pifer laughed, squeezing Kylie's hand as they walked. After several minutes of walking he looked at her. "Melinda's going to want to take you inside." He informed her. "She's gonna use these metal tools to check you, but none of them hurt I promise."

Pifer looked through the trees, seeing the lights of the Ranger's Station in the distance. He started running, still holding Kylie's hand. "Cmon!"

Terry laughed, falling into step beside Erin. "Yeah, I wanted to come out here yesterday, but me n Ian got sidetracked." He cocked his head as they neared the edge of the development. He looked up at the large fence that stood between them and the forest, trying to figure out how to get over. Terry spotted a tree a few yards away that hung over the border. "Hey, we can use that to cross." He said, pointing at the tree.

It was Arro's time for the ramblings (as much to Kyra's torture as it was). "Oh, GPS-- Global Positioning System! It's fairly simple, it works by this sending a signal up to satellites, which bounce it back to this device, and it goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and--" Kyra did a light karate chop/tapping mix of a move on Arro's head, and he stopped for a second before speaking again-- "on until you shut the device off, of course, but it knows where you are, whenever this is on. This device has Kyra and I's collars in the software, but oddly enough, it says Kyra's in the middle of the road in a completely different area of the neighborhood. And it says it's a 'failing unit', but if it was, Kyra would be electrocuted to death right now!" Kyra gave a very surprised look to Arro, and when he looked over, he noticed it, and said, "Well obviously, you must have put it on another collar, or something."

Taku looked at the strange thing that Frank had pulled out, tilting his head. "Poker"? What's he talking about? He held out a finger and gave Frank a poke, looking at him questioningly. Is that what "poker" is? A poking game?
