I kind of imagined the mechs to be sort of like an Apache. Pilot in the front, navigator + weapons in the back

I too wanted to have a mech fight too. I'm not sure what they'll do for training if they're in the same mech. Target practice?
Play The Hayseed Knight. This isn’t self promotion, I just really like the game.

Sorry, blues were going to be allies, but I decided not to have any.

And now.... a fight scene. 3 points to this one. It shows some of Corp's prowess, it shows one of the ways the univere isn't perfect and it shows the level of violence you can probably get away with in PG-land. If Lego wishes me to adapt it or change a bit, I'll be happy with that.

You should take better care of your baton, they are not cheap you know.
Good fight scene however welsh, it was told well.

Looks like Vanderbilt's gonna have to get his hands dirty.
The dangling, broken baton reminds me of Ron's snapped wand in book two of the Harry Potter series. So that was funny for me
Side note: Probably changing Ash's weapon of choice from longsword to an extendable quarterstaff. It's more of a non-lethal tool and I don't reckon impaling people is appropriate in PG-land.

I planned for Stephens to be solely hand-to-hand combat, mainly to keep the PG.

Who Stephens? He probably would, though I figured that they would be a standard issue security gear anyways.

Oh, they are. They also carry a slightly higherstun setting than the pistol. But they have to be used in close combat, obviously.

Stun pistols? that's inventive, I can't remember the skills I gave him, we don't want him shooting his foot.

Even Judge Dredd's gun has a stun setting - although he doesn't use it much as it drains the charge. These guns are kinda like the Star Trek ones but look more like pistols and I don't think they have discs?Drake wrote:Stun pistols? that's inventive, I can't remember the skills I gave him, we don't want him shooting his foot.

I think it depends on which show, some had a form of ammunition, but most of the show they seemed to not need any discs.Welsh Halfwit wrote:Even Judge Dredd's gun has a stun setting - although he doesn't use it much as it drains the charge. In an RP like this violence is allowed and accepted. It wouldn't be a proper sci-fi adventure without some brawling and a few high-intensity action scenes. You can even kill some baddies if you like. Just remember not to describe it graphically. Welsh set a good example there. The level he wrote is fine but don't exceed that in terms of the nature of the description.Drake wrote:I planned for Stephens to be solely hand-to-hand combat, mainly to keep the PG.

Or mention fictional drugs. I might have to adjust it to a bad reaction to a legal stimulant or summat.Hlaoroo wrote:Welsh Halfwit wrote:And now.... a fight scene. 3 points to this one. I changed it to being whammed on drink. Ashleigh might like that(!)
Edit:
If they hurry they could catch some of the fight (or the aftermath).

Sorry I haven't posted in a while guys. I've been waiting rook to respond before we continue the story but he hasn't yet. I sent him a PM and if he doesn't respond by tomorrow I'm moving without him.
Also I want to thank everyone who has participated in and enjoyed this RP. Considering how much time I spend thinking about what I do wrong, it's nice for people to show me what I do right.

@Lego: Thank you for making such an entertaining rp!
@Rook: Don't worry, bro.
@Lego (again): Lets have them fix the wirings after the tour. That way we can learn the ship and not have to explain it to the characters again.

Speaking of learning. I sometimes feel like I am missing some sort of lore for the story. Or if its okay to do what I did and make up a moon colony for my character to exist

I'd imagine that making up almost anything for a backstory would be okay. Gives us a bigger world to interact with plus like you said, it allows characters to exist.Drake wrote:Speaking of learning. Speaking of Corp, he's supposed to be a Bowman's Wolf, but instead of a wolf, he's a mouse, right?
Actually, better question. Do you know what a Bowman's wolf is?

I go in through the crosstimecafe.com , where Florence links to and lives. (she often appears in the the main crosstime cafe strip as well as Mizzkitti , the characters from 21st century fox) as well as other strips. Doc Rat is recommended.MrNeonShot wrote:I'm not alone!Welsh Halfwit wrote:I know of Florence.

I just started reading freefall about 2 months ago. It was a pain to catch up but it was worth it. Hope they get rid of all her "triggers." Also lets try to get this back to STEELHAVEN.

Good point. So Corp's standing over an unconscious drunk, Doc's wearing a towel, pre-launch check-offs are still ongoing and the guys are about to be led to the next persons workplace?

Re: SRP: STEELHAVEN - OOC
Reminds me of a scene in the 2012 DREDD film, where Dress and PSI Anderson have arrested a perp on a murder charge.Legotron123 wrote:Was that sarcasm? Lewis asked. I can never tell. Anyways, it's not that we don't have any guards, it's just that the ones we do have have been here for a while now. There's nothing wrong with them, it's just, we finally got tired of that halo joke Geoff made every single day. We just finished unloading all our other prisoners so if it weren't for Rammira you'd be paid to do nothing. We would transfer him but it takes a LOT of paperwork, so you'll just have to guard him till our next stop. He smiled. But I'm sure you won't hold that against him.
Anderson - It's him, Dredd.
Dredd- you're sure?
Anderson - 99%
Dredd - Can't execute a perp on 99%. (To perp) Care to confess? Make it 100%? It'd save me a lot of paperwork.
