wow, Peanut, I hope you only said that in an ironic "it's funny cause it's obviously not what I think" way

Motoring logic doesn't work
when one player is a game jerk,
able to win where they should lose,
overeager, face looking for a bruise.
Peanut beats the sports with a 2CV,
making it look totally, terribly, easy.
Grape grouses out into distant second
a victory Peanut foolishly reckoned
was down to his noble sex as driver.
He bragged as she hit him with saliva
and grinned at her – silly boy!
Now he's got to try a new chew toy...

That's what you get for driving Grape crazy, Peanut.
Re: 2014/09/23 - Road Warrior
Are people really gonna blame Peanut? First of all, he's naive. Second, it's fact.

Oh hey, a beloved and intelligent character spouting sexist sitcom-grade one-liners.
Guest week's really going places.
I feel ill.
EDIT:
Ok, maybe that was a little harsh, but still. This is something I'd expect from Bino, when he opens his muzzle to let us know he's a jerk. Not Peanut.

Grape was clearly at a disadvantage, she was driving the Dodge Viper... It moves left and right like an insane asylum patient brought back to life by Takashi Shimizu.

I must say, I like your art style Mr. Cetera. It's quite unique and interesting.
Oh Peanut, you must have been so enthralled by your victory that you didn't realize what you were saying.

I don't see what the problem is really. Is sexism that big of a deal in the happy-go-lucky world of Housepets? Besides, it is sort of true.
Re: 2014/09/23 - Road Warrior
I have the feeling that game is supposed to be "Gran Turismo", but even in that game, a Ferrari F40 should have easy time humiliating that rolling junk even with the worst driver driving it X3

Yes, it is a big deal, no matter where it is, and how is it true?SuperStar wrote:I don't see what the problem is really. Is sexism that big of a deal in the happy-go-lucky world of Housepets? Besides, it is sort of true.
Forward, the Light Brigade!'
Was there a man dismay'd?
Not tho'(though) the soldiers knew
Some one had blunder'd:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.

Congratulations to those who realized that the car was a Citroen 2CV and Ferrari F40. As for the joke, not looking to be sexist, so I did it because I knew it would infuriate grape easily.
Cheers and thanks again for the comments.

I bet he didn't have 15 minutes to save 15% on car insurance, that is why he should have went on the internet, he could have save that amount in half the time.
Sorry, I see many commercials on TV

To be honest, with Grapes claws showing I was imagining a lot more damage to Peanut, like scratch marks...lots of scratch marks. O.O

A bad pun would've worked too, but yeah, I guess that would be more fitting for Karishad. Great comic nevertheless!rodrigo wrote:As for the joke, not looking to be sexist, so I did it because I knew it would infuriate grape easily.

You can tell this isn't canon because there were no brooms involved.
Re: 2014/09/23 - Road Warrior
The only reason people think that Women aren't as good drivers is because they multitask, and they try to do that when driving. Multitasking while driving can lead to mistakes. They are no bad drivers, it is just that some try to do too many things at once including driving.

What makes this especially funny to me is that I watched Ponyo last night, which has the best female driver ever...
Dag nabbed petty annoyances...
Re: 2014/09/23 - Road Warrior
Very nice, another videogame playing moment with the great couple. Come on Grape, don't get upset, if you aren't able to win a such race with a such powerful car, simply means that Peanut is partially right (partially because drive a real car isn't like do it in a videogame, I would see you driving a real Citroën 2CV, pup). BTW, I applaud you for the brave Ferrari F40 choice, and also for your new not so violent reaction against Peanut.
Very good work with this strip.

I think that the comic is wrong. I drive fairly safely and you haven't seen how my father drives.
