Ice Bucket Challenge - have you done it?

Post by Douglas Collier »

Recently there's been a fun charity project going on where a person is challenged to get splashed with a bucket of ice water and gets to challenge three other people to do so; they then donate $10 (or $100 if they choose not to do the challenge) to the ALS Association http://www.alsa.org/ .

I've done the challenge. How about you guys?

You can also post pictures or stories about your 'sonas or OCs getting dunked on this thread: https://www.housepetscomic.com/forums/v ... f=7&t=3052 . ;)
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

There are plans in the works for the Anime Club officers to do it and challenge all of the school's organizations, so I'll be doing it when we get around to it. (also gonna be running a charity drive to collect money to donate from the members.)

How about in February we just chop a hole in the ice at the lake and jump in ? That sounds like a bigger challenge.

I know of people who've done it. Haven't been challenge so far.
There is always a mystical adventure awaiting you. You just have to find it and take the first step into epicness.

made a donation, but found out my camera has no audio.

Gotta get that fixed before I take any challenges before the summer ends. If I do it after the summer, people will straight jacket me. =P

No, but I got to film someone doing. Though we had just finished working out so it was more refreshing than a shock, he said.

Never nominated and I decided to just donate money rather than risk getting pneumonia with ice water.

I was nominated by my lead singer, so I just reenacted Patrick Stewart's video: I wrote a check for my donation, pulled up an ice bucket, paused, and then used it to pour myself a glass of whiskey. It got positive reactions. :3

you'll have to try harder than that to find her gender :P
but seriously, that's all it was, no talking, all the challenges and explanations were in text. No need to see her writing a check and pouring a drink.
if you're curious, he challenged a few political/religious leaders and Homestar Runner.

a) It was worth a try.
b) I pretty sure that I know it, I saw pictures of her that tell his gender.

Here's mine.

Wrong! :D
I can wait until you're properly recovered though. No rush. ;)

I didn't do it for ALS though. ALS is a good cause but it's already got heaps of awareness and something like $70 million from this challenge anyway. Instead I did it for the Tasmanian Devils since they're being wiped out from Devil Facial Tumour Disease. We've unfortunately lost 96% of them already so they really need help. You can find the link to donate in the description in my video.

Well, here's my Ice Bucket Challenge. Thanks, @aBritishfox for the nomination. I nominate, Jimmie-Dean, Yury, Calder, Birdfox Bri, King Friday and all the mods over at housepets in return.
Oh come on, it's no fun if you aren't specific. :P

I think that's the general trend but I've never seen an official rule that says you can only nominate three. I've seen other people nominating more too.
