Probably not useless and more of an odd coincidence.
But; On November 22 1963 the first episode of Doctor Who aired on tv. JFK was assassinated on the same day, the next day C.S. Lewis passed away.

There is no such thing as a pregnant goldfish, they lay eggs in the water and the male fertilizes them there. Also, goldfish have a memory of three months, and barnacles (all barnacles are hermaphrodites) have one eyed one horned flying purple people eater seven times their body length. Earwigs have a backup one eyed one horned flying purple people eater.

As I'm sure you've just found out through our filter, you used words that we prefer you don't use. If you ever step back and say "I wonder if this is within the forum rating", you should probably ask a mod first before posting.
When people don't do that though, it can lead to some funny sentences.

Incidentally, there was a film produced in 1988 based on the song "Purple People Eater". IMDB rates it 4.5/10.

Yeah, I saw a Youtube video about how the physics of falling in pretty much all the games in the Assassin's Creed series doesn't match up with the physics of falling on earth in the real world.herobrineharry wrote:gravity in the first Assassin's Creed game is similar to that of jupiter.

No Asian, North American, African or Oceanic country has ever won the FIFA World Cup.
Only the UEFA (European Football League) and the COMENBOL (South American football league) have had world champions among their ranks.
Also Germany's probably going to win.
Just sayin'.

Europe and South America have the best soccer playing and players, it's a fact. There are so many curiosities about FIFA World Cup.ArcWolf wrote:No Asian, North American, African or Oceanic country has ever won the FIFA World Cup.
The fastest goal ever made is by Turkey team after only 11 seconds from the match start. It was against South Korea team, in the third place final match, at the 2002 year Japanese and South Korean edition.
I hope for Netherlands, once for all it deserves the win.ArcWolf wrote:Also Germany's probably going to win.

Yeah...curiosities like who'd have thunk Uruguay and Costa Rica had good teams? Logic would dictate that England and Italy would dispatch them easily.Cesco wrote:Europe and South America have the best soccer playing and players, it's a fact. Re: Useless Information Thread
Continuing with FIFA World Cup curiosities, the 1966 year English edition has been the first one with the mascotte.
Costa Rica team promoting is the real surprise (and not the only, looking in the other groups). Uruguay has always got a good team with good players (now there are Cavani and the biter Suarez ), and it's the current Copa América champion. Italy could easily beat also them, IMO the problem was the bad playing, and on-field placing and moving of the players, but also that usual play with launching the ball from the defence or mid-field to the alone Balotelli attached by the opposite defence... With what we have seen, Italy deserved the elimination. Full stop. The Blue Fox wrote:Yeah...curiosities like who'd have thunk Uruguay and Costa Rica had good teams? Re: Useless Information Thread
The Prisoner's Dilemma is one of the most famous problems in Game Theory that deals with finding the best possible solution to a problem. Here's how it works. Imagine you're a cop who has just arrested two bank robbers, but you're not 100% sure that they actually did it. You isolate each of the prisoners in two separate rooms so that they have no way of communicating. You present them both with a deal to try and make them rat the other person out. They aren't saying if they themselves did it, but are given the option to either turn on their co-bank robber or stay quiet. If both prisoners turn on each other, then they will both serve 8 years in jail. If prisoner A turns on prisoner B while prisoner B remained silent, then prisoner A will be set free while prisoner B (who kept his mouth shut) will serve 10 years in jail. Same applies if prisoner B turns on prisoner A while prisoner A remained silent. Now, is both prisoners remain silent, they will only have to serve one month in jail. They are not allowed to coordinate with each other, but will have to chance how well they think they know each other, and what their best possible answer will be. They do this by thinking about how they might answer if they know what the other prisoner might say. You as the cop will ask each prisoner, separately, what their decision is.The Blue Fox wrote:The prisoner's dilemma? No, I don't think I have. Tell us more. owo
If that was difficult to follow, I apologize. It's tricky to explain.

Re: Useless Information Thread
Normally the cops wouldn't have to rely on the suspects confirming of denying they did it...they have evidence to prove they did it...witness statements, CCTV footage, fingerprints on the guns, and so on.
Re: Useless Information Thread
Eye witnesses are not as reliable as people like to think, the vast majority get details wrong and end up causing more problems by getting the wrong person arrested. Because someone else says it was them, everyone else believes it and the actual perpetrator can get away with it.

Re: Useless Information Thread
Even people you expect to be more trained like police officers aren't good eye witnesses. That's because how our brain works. It sees only the main things and the other things are the minor things are forgotten easily or are added by the mind. I've seen a test for this in a science tv show. In some testimonies there was the man driving, in some it was the woman, in some even the parked car went backward...

Well, his/my surname, "Blackwood", is a tree in the vernacular sense, at least. Biologically speaking though, Acacia melanoxylon are monocotyledons so they're not true trees. The Blue Fox wrote:Furrhan just now explained to me in PMs that his namesake is a type of tree. owo Huh. Did not know that.

Re: Useless Information Thread
No need for that. Furrhan's full name is Furrhan Blackwood so his namesake is still a tree so you're still right.
Re: Useless Information Thread
Yes, but this is not a real life situation. It's for each prisoner to assess how they can get the best possible outcome for themselves. It has nothing to do with the cops. It really doesn't matter if they can proof the bank robbers are guilty. They could even be two totally innocent people. But when they are both isolated and presented with this set of circumstances, it's impossible to know for sure what they are going to choose. That's the point of the exercise. The Blue Fox wrote:Normally the cops wouldn't have to rely on the suspects confirming of denying they did it...they have evidence to prove they did it...witness statements, CCTV footage, fingerprints on the guns, and so on.

Re: Useless Information Thread
Well, my theory is that Ramallah, the city where the Krusty Krab is being built, is a growing economy in the Palestinian state despite the West Bank unrest, and having such an influence there would likely to boost the economy and the PR image of the city even more. The official Facebook page are currently up and quite friendly I must add, currently looking for waiters and employees. I could go further, but that would be delving into politics and sensitive issues, so fullstop here.
Anyways, another random fact. The opening cutscenes of the game Solatorobo: Red the Hunter were created by Madhouse, the animation studio behind a few Pokemon movies, Highschool of the Dead and Tokyo Godfathers. Which was why many reviewers, while being a little mixed about the game itself, highly recommended that the animation cutscenes be expanded into a full-fledged anime.

In fact, it's a fairly helpful concept of particle physics.
I had an entire chemistry class on that principle alone.
