Come to think of it, if King thinks it's possible for Bailey to be pregnant doesn't that mean...?Silly Zealot wrote:If anyone wants to give their final farewells to my peace of mind, you are welcome to do so. I'm sure it is what it would have wanted.

Given the comment Bailey almost got to finish before he freaked, I suspect that this is just a weird food Bailey likes. The fact her Mom was involved and it came up might have to do with the book she is reading perhaps generating some nostalgia, fond memories of her Mom. If it was out there unusual related to being pregnant, I'm sure Bailey would have realized it. But it was fun to see King freak out anyway! Still thinking in human terms...

*snort* You know. I don't think there's been really young puppies. The wolf cubs were coming of age, so a puppy... I can;t help but think that Knightly would be an adorable name for one of their puppies. There can only be ONE King.
But I'm sure Bailey is just one of those weird country dogs with a taste for the bizarre.

Re: 2014/03/10 - Bedtime Snack
BUT! Bailey did put her paw over her stomach, and plus not to mention, her chest does look bigger, and King ran away before she could finish her sentence, which I think we all assume, she was gonna "sick" or she could have said "kids"..but we will see.

Make you wonder if this would happen regularly. How many strange drinks or food can Bailey have? XD Poor King, he would be at the edge every morning. Bailey never even let him finish his morning stretches.

I must admit I was hoping that today's strip was going to be Friday's strip from the other side... but this is cuter.

Agreed. With those glasses, she would very much look the part of the elderly woman Ms. Emily Brent in their recent imaginate series had they not put on paper bag hats insteadThat_Red_Folf wrote:I also didn't know Bailey wears reading glasses, they do seem to make her look a little older
I think it'd be super cute if Bailey pulled up her bandanna up to her head, nightcap style before going to sleep.

Bailey always seemed to appear much older than the other animals from where she was raised and behaved. I also think the glasses are neat since it establishes it more.deepskycyan wrote:Agreed. I was wondering how long it would be before this joke came up. The old "pickles and ice cream" joke. It still works...although for my mom it was Cheetos & cheese curds. (I always did enjoy sound effects...) I guess that would also explain why my mind wanders so much...
Theory Time!
I don't know if Bailey...in canon... is 'with pups,' but it wouldn't surprise me either way. JoeKing has a problem. He has attached himself to his current form voluntarily, and though Pete might not be able to interfere with him, we don't know if the spell he placed on Joel has an expiration date. King might think it does, and therefore might have prevented himself from doing anything with Bailey, even off panel, that would break the PG rating. His panicky attitude could easily explain today's reaction. However there is that pesky snuggle/cuddle question...(that I won't go into any further) that started at the Thanksgiving arc.
Personally I hope that King is keeping himself 'clean' despite his marriage status. It would kind of make sense if he did because again, he doesn't know if Pete's spell is permanent, and he certainly doesn't want to hurt Bailey in any way. So really the only questions are:
Is she...?
Will he stay that way?
...

Just funny. Poor King's stomach, it's really too weak, can't neither bear the spoken disgusting food mixes. Such weird tastes for you, Bailey, you remind of the Lucretia's ones. Great for you to read books like your cousin, despite you look a bit like an old aunt with the glasses.
Ah, great King, sleeping totally nude with your mate!
Also, this strip reminds of this one.

For anyone wondering what their (hopefully) kids might look like in real life, type out "swedish vallhund" (or husky corgi) in Google images
On the topic of King's spell, I am torn between hoping the spell lasts for as long as possible or Pete keeps King the way he is (without any consequences)
Anyways, I'm interested in what Rick does with this couple in the future!

Perhaps I'm reading to much in to this but judging by King's reaction they've done the puppy makin mambo, though judging by Baileys reaction I don't think she is pregnant.

I don't remember where I read it, but someone on this site once said that the comic has lost some readers because of how long it has been since there has been any relationship tension, or something like that... Well Rick, I think you just got all of those fleeting readers back with this 'side-burster' strip!

Considering they're dogs, chances are they would have more than one puppy. A chess piece theme would be adorable if you ask me.
