Sorrow: Unfortunately the cake was indeed a lie. (Family forgot to buy it) :(
Sorrow: And today was also the last day of my level 2 improv class. :( :(
Guilty: Was considering not taking the next level of my improv classes because I don't feel ready for the graduation show at the end— but a few words from classmates has got me questioning my decision: am I truly ready to participate in an improv show, or is fear holding me back?

Joy: Feeling good about my philosophy of law midterm.
Sorrow: Not so much about my german one. I just haven't had the time to put a proper ammount of work into it. Might have to settle for a 3.0. Though I wouldn't rule out a 3.5.
Joy: I have time to cram. I should do pretty ok. I won't bomb the test but I probably won't be the happiest with my score.
Sorrow: I might be running out of ideas for my script for my advanced screenwriting class. But I'm stuck finishing it. I need a full length one by the end of the semester. I think I might only have lik 60 pages worth of good material though. (out of the 90-100 that I need)
Joy: A good local hardcore punk band is playing thursday. Good way to celebrate the start of spring break.
Joy: Some weird metal band from maryland is coming to town wednesday. Gonna check them out to as a nice little study break.
Joy: Coffee, the cancer bats, and X are all a thing. And spring break is close.

I guess I sorta reprogrammed my head to only accept simple thing, which is good for handling anxiety, but bad if you're a college student who's also writing a thesis. /OTL

don't worry, no one likes when they have to do research papers. You just need to find a subject you won't absolutely hate researching and do the best you can to reach the minimum length requirement and get an alright grade.
for you I'd suggest something relating to video games if that's at all possible.

???? : so erm , I don't know how to feel about this , maybe I'm just being paranoid but......So today on my way home , a man on a motorcycle just randomly came next to me , and start making conversation , saying he's a glasses collector (?!) and he'd love to have my glasses in his collection , he asked my name , my birth year , and then again going on about how he knows a guy who keeps giving him new glasses every year for his collection , while shaking my hand , grab my shoulder and whisper in my ears about it , while I kept trying to pull away . And I swear that guy was up to something with all that touching , he even asked my phone number but I was getting suspicious so I didn't give him that . I don't even know why I agreed to pull over to have that conversation with the guy, even gave him my name and birth year in the first place ! After I got home , I checked my bag and it didn't seems to have lost anything , my phone , my keys......it's all there , and nothing strange in it either but.....I don't know , I keep getting this feeling that I shouldn't have done that. maybe , hopefully that I, for once , am just being paranoid and everything is ok.

Ok that really sounds suspicious, you should have made a fake name and date of birth then a random phone number. That would really throw him off.

Sorry for a way too long message in advance, as well as for typos. Found a few, but can't really do anything better right now.

Sorrow/Rage - two lectures in, and I already am about to start screaming at uni's English teacher. I can forget about pronounciation (mine will never be perfect, but... I never heard the way she demans us to read words in either) and writing (though, who thought that it's a good idea to make Q and 2 look THE SAME?!), but all the other requirements are just nonsensical. Too big letters - rewrite everything, too small letters - rewerite everything, don't you dare to make a space between words more than N mm, or think of moving a beginning of the lines anywhere left or right from the fixed position, don't think of separating page into 2 parts by drawing a line (only by folding the sheet of paper O_o), anything more or less than 96 sheets A5 workbook (only with stapled together pages), and a ton of other requirements that nobody cared about since the end of primary/elementary school. We were all forced to "learn" alphabet on the 1st lesson (because, as it turns out, you are not supposed to just pronounce all the letters, there are some complex intonation changes involved... that noone else cares about. And no, I'm not speaking of NATO alphabet "code", the one with "Alpha", "Bravo", "Charlie", etc.), and to write all the words, no matter how long you know them (Who WON'T know what "plane" means while studying AVIATION SAFETY?!). And don't get me started on all guidlines for exams that only she has for us.
At the mean time, the other group on our faculty, with a different teacher, lives just fine and actually studies terminology, etc, that's related to the course.
...Is it me going crazy, or her? I'd be happy to have the confirmation of any option here.
P.S. To add to the problem, there is NO way I'll be switching out in the next 2 years unless we think of me abandoning studies alltogether, but that will be a huge disappointment, and a sure way for me being taken away by compulsory army draft for a year. That's something I'd prefer to avoid...

Well, I just had no idea how to describe that, but basically it's a weird way of actually spelling out the letters, Obbl. "Ay, Bee, Cee", etc. in the monotone voice don't cut it anymore

A-a-and, by the way, before anyone gets idea - it's ridiculous one, every single teacher I ever met before was better than that! :)

I think your teacher had a bad time in college and is taking it out on you and your class. I mean seriously, if she isn't even defining the size of letter you need then how the heck are you supposed to know whether your writing is too small or too big? And aren't bound books better than stapled ones?

As far as I know, university likes to start you from scratch... but this is just ridiculous.

So from what I've observed, this is the last class you really need to buckle down for to graduate high school, yes? Honestly, I get that you need an outlet to channel all this "I hate this class" energy and all, but the fact is that you need this class to graduate from high school so like it or not you have to pass it.

If you don't want to go to college, I totally respect that. Not everyone is meant for college, and I have a couple of friends that chose not to go. But! I think it's worth considering that by choosing not to go, you are pretty much immediately jumping right into adulthood. You are now legally an adult, and your parents don't have to provide you with food, clothing, or housing anymore. You can also consider car insurance, gas money, a cell phone, internet, and that extra security of knowing someone is there in case something bad happens. Heck, after you graduate, you have no right to a free education anymore. Actually, in some countries, a free education isn't even really a thing. I mean, you just need to get through this one class, and then you're done with high school. You can put that into perspective the next time you have to write a research paper, right?

My first semester of college, I made the mistake of taking way too many "weed out" engineering classes, and almost failed out my first semester. I mean, I was in the top of my senior class and got a full scholarship to one of the best engineering schools in the country! In the span of a few months, I was physically ill from realizing that I could end up $11,000 in debt (you have to repay scholarships if you fail classes, by the way!), being thrown out of school, and hoping that I could be accepted after two years of community college and a mountain of debt so I could get back into this school, because it is literally the only school in my entire state that offers my degree. It was absolutely the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with in my life but I still knew that I needed to deal with it because it was not the worst situation in the world. I am eternally grateful that I have been given the free will and opportunity provided to me, as many people do not have that. I managed a 2.4 GPA, which got me no credit for a calculus class, kicked out of an extracurricular club, and the bottom 8% of my engineering class, but I squeaked out of Chemistry and economics with C's and wasn't placed on academic probation, so whatever, I made it! Now I'm out of crappy classes that I hate and taking classes that I'm -good- at, classes that are in my major, and ultimately I know that I made the right choice in coming here (albeit taking all my weed-out classes at a community college, because since I got a full ride to an engineering school, I can at least shell out a bit of my own money to stay here).

So if you don't want to go to college, you don't have to! But do know that if you choose to study at least one thing, even just getting a two year degree at a community college learning how to be a plumber, you will ultimately have more options in life and really come out feeling like someone who can handle the responsibilities of adulthood. And if you don't want to learn a trade, you just have to finish high school. But it might be to your benefit to maybe give community college a try, because if you think high school English is hard, you really don't want to see what full blown adulthood is really like! Community college might give you some time to get your life together and figure out what is really important to you. As someone who almost abruptly got thrown into it herself, I still say that being a student is still the easiest profession.

(Also, you guys, that explains why I was gone for so long. As you all know what kind of person I am, I felt very ashamed for a very long time and just could not be active here until I dealt with what was going on in my life.)

Joy: My friends from high school are on spring break as the same time as me!! Yaaaay!!
Sorrow: Last weekend I got cut off on the road as I was checking my blind spot, so I rear-ended a guy going like 10 mph at a stop light and of course by North Carolina law it's 100% my fault. :| I scuffed the guy's bumper, while my car needed a new hood, headlight, and turn signal, and just to make matters worse, he called the police over a SCUFF and got me a $240 ticket and four points on my license. DX Overall it costs $120 to fix my car and $240 for the ticket, but I got pictures of both cars so while my insurance will still go up in July, he can't sue me for everything I own over a scuff. ;)
Joy: Car is still fully functional, although it is now mismatched colors (blue body and red hood), and I didn't kill anyone. XD
Let me tell you about Homestuck.
