Tycho, do you have a Firebird? Have you ever been on the Misfile forum?

We know that. We have a car thread somewhere that he showed it to us.

Although he probably posted a lot more about it there.

Tycho, I say you need to get your car in running order, then run a race while in your fursuit. You'll become even more famous.

Yeah Jeff, an old friend of mine who works in the race biz called me just today to suggest I get my car back up and going. He works at comp cams so I'll probably pick up some new speed parts and a firmware update of my prototype XFI fuel injection ecm, some new software, and get going. That might be the motivation I need. I need fresh shocks in the rear as well, nand thatll run me $ 600 alone. My new distributor is gonna be at least $300, since my MSD pro billet has all but failed.

I used to drive fot Dominos. One day, I delivered to this guy in a Midwest Fur Fest shirt. I admit, I stared for a moment. Then told him I was quite jealous. I was invited to come visit him and his (also furry) roommates, and am glad to say I'm friends with them still. So... Much as I hated that job, I can't say I got nothing lasting out of it.

Explain that nothing can be scarier or as amusing as a shadowy werewolf figure lurking in the dark that turns out to be a adorable looking costume.

Be sure to thank your mom for being the coolest mother in the world, and how absolutely much fun you had in swishing that tail this upcoming Halloween. Smile really wide & giggle a little bit too. Then share your candy. That'll seal the deal.

Most people don't know what a furry is so I doubt it.

My friend Hunter and her friend Rob were on the front page of the local news paper in their fur suits. Her as Mike the Candy Skunk and Rob as a German Shepard. It was an archive photo, but its cool that two local furries got in the paper.

My son and I went out last night between the rainstorms but gosh, it was really, really dark outside when wearing a fursuit head.

Heh, that can't have been easy.

Hey, that makes me think. How easy is it to clean/dry a fursuit when it gets wet/dirty? I can't imagine it would be easy...

I know if I was in that position I would finish my Space Marine power armor and sit still at the front of the class untill it started, then say "Alright class, time for LEARNING!" as I jump up and take my helmet off.

It certainly has tumbled about tumblr, that's for sure!

Really though, it took me a while to figure out how to use Tycho Aussie in the classroom. I didn't want it to be a pointless distraction, and it had to still be somewhat professional. There are only a couple of weeks within the curriculum where I could do this. I tried it last year for the very last week of class, and the students loved it. It was the day when they showed off their end of term projects, so really my job was just to listen and score their project. This year however, I moved it to the middle of the semester, and did so because I realized (after last semester) that Tycho Aussie in the classroom is a unique, whimsical, quirky experience that brings those students together. I have already seen it succeed this semester in class - After Tycho, we all talk and share and work together in the lab, despite the fact that we're from four different countries and probably two dozen different majors. So in effect, I can use the fursuit as an effective teaching tool that helps bring together students from all different backgrounds which enhances the learning experience for the remainder of the semester. I want my students to go home with facebook contacts, emails, phone numbers so that they can gain not only knowledge of scientific methods of investigation, but also have the chance to create friendships that transcend nationality, culture, and academic discipline.

I told my professors what I was thinking of trying. They thought it was an interesting idea didn't have any issues with it. So, Tycho Aussie went to class! The Prof and department head have seen the before vs. after effect on the classroom dynamics, and they liked the result. So I think this will be something I will continue to do each semester that I teach this course.

I think it's great that you're doing that, Tycho. I think it's wonderful that you are able to enrich people's lives like that at the same time as promoting the good side of being furry. The world needs more people like you - people who are willing and able to take risks like that, to better their communities and to nuture and foster good relationships and communications between people. The fact that you're both Christian and furry and thus giving a good reflection of both those aspects of your life makes it even better in my eyes. As we say in Australia, good onya, mate! ;)

I don't know why you are asking us: The only things we know about your parents are ones you told us.
Still, based on that small bit of information, I do believe she doesn't visit the internet much, and is thankfully oblivious of furries. HOWEVER, if she became aware of furries, she'd probably think of you.

The fact that you had the good sense of partaking this behavioral(?) experiment while the students were recieving their test results, instead of doing it while they were taking said tests, and moreso, during the middle term of the school year, in order to incentivate the students to gather around you and turn you into a common topic to end up bonding and deciding to group up and work toghether for the remainder of their studies is indeed both bright and commendable.

Still, I'm not above "schadenfreuding" over that "I'm legitimally scared" comment, whether it was a joke or not.
