"I'm just going to be buying the bread. do you want me to pay you, or is the till magical in some way?" said Kane eying the till to see if it would do something magical, there was a slight poof of smoke but Kane was sure that was one of the many bottles and sadly not the till.

Gabriele shrugs. <"I saw it on the television.">
<"Huh. Ouch!"> One of the planes had bounded off Liesel's head. She picked it up, rubbing her head, and noting that the propellor had broken as it hit her.
"But vott do vee vant hidden?" Gabriele asks as Liesel shows Hrous the broken plane.
"It got broken. I am sorry but vee haff nosing viz vich to pay for eet. I can make a new propellor for eet but I haff nosing to attach it."

Outside, Luke decided that it would be a good idea to get a lay of the land before darting off in some direction, and he knew exactly how to do it. "The higher you go, the more you can see," he reasoned. "and this tree looks pretty high." He began to climb a nearby tree, going higher, and higher until he reached the top. After securing his position, he began to survey the area.

Besides the houses that could be seen from that high up, Luke also spotted a park, and some stores, but he couldn't make out what they were from his spot. Carefully, Luke climbed back down the tree, making sure to take the same path down that he took to climb up in the first place. Once on the ground, he removed a stray leaf from his red shirt, and he decided to head for what he believed to be the center of town.

"ah its not broken. spin where the proppeler wouçd be and it will fix itslf and fly off again...as for payment theres nothing magical unless you have an account from a different world or country. just set the pay on the counter and it will handle itself with change and receit. many pets hide there powers because they are afraid of being different. now as for something to eat.....hmmm ah here we are." horus said soon finding some fruit and tossing a peach to lyyve

"sure well I'll see you guys later I guess" said Kane as put a dollar on the counter. as soon as he let go of the dollar the counter set about sorting everything out, there was a short pause before a receipt appeared in the dollars place. Kane pocketed it.
"oh one last thing before I go; is there anywhere round here that's worth checking out?" asked Kane as he turned to leave. sadly he turned a bit to fast and he flew into a beautiful midair pirouette that landed him ungracefully on the ground. luckly Kane hadn't destroyed the bread but he had landed squarely on his face. with a small sigh and a big dose of embarrassment Kane got to his feet.

Now at his destination, Luke noticed a store named "Jade Dragon Emporium". He was getting some vibe that made him freeze in his tracks right in front of the store. It seemed like ages before he'd opened the door, but he had done so. After snapping out of his slight daze, he noticed two guinea pigs, a dog, and two cats, one of which looked like he was leaving the store. Again, Luke froze, this time being in the presence of unfamiliar pets. "Er..." was all he could say.

"Hello." The guinea pigs offered their paws. Being young and naive, Gabriele failed to realise the implications of Horus's statement about pets with powers being different; instead she just accepted the statement and moved on.
"Vee haff just moved here so vee don't know anybody yet." Liesel spun the shaft of the propellor, watched it repar itself and then allowed the plane to launch itself back into the air.
Gabriele picked up a small tube of a glittering, silvery substance. "Vot does ziss do, mister Horus? Eet does not look like normal glitter."

"ah thats a good product. allow me to demonstrate" horus said grabbing one thats was already open pouring a very small amount of glitter into his paw and flinging it above him. at the peak of the toss each little speck of glitter exploded like very small fireworks with no mess. "its called party powder. it can be used as i did, in self defense, or at partys. doesnt hurt but it does suprise many people. i wouod guess it woukd hurt if the glitter was on the skin when it goes off. now if you wanted something else i would try the more white powder. it makes one invisible" horus said with a smile

Luke's sense of etiquette allowed him to move again, and he shook the guinea pigs' offered paws. "It's nice to meet you. I've just moved here as well, so it looks like we're in the same situation. My name's Luke."

"Wow! That's amazing, I've never seen anything like that before!" A sense of wonder was beginning to overtake Luke. He decided to stick around for a bit, and see what else was around.

horus introduced himself to luke before looking around a different shelf. "nope nope nope....maybe"horus thought before pulling out two racecars."well heres something if you like games. they dont move but its a virtual reality racing game. it will play any racing game you want. ANY racing game" horus said setting them down by the two guinea pigs. "luke all newcomers here get anything for free. so if you want something you can have it. take a look around. ill answer your questions horus said waving a paw and looking next to luke as two rc tanks rolled by puffs of smoke coming out of them as if they ran on gas.

with a small smile on his face Kane stepped out in to the cool air and started on the way home, hoping he wouldn't forget the route he took.

"I do have a power, actually. Basic Aerokinesis. I can manipulate air. It's really useful on sunny, hot days!" Luke joked. Although there was some seriousness to the joke, as he had generated a few breezes during the summertime before.

"Really? Anything?" Luke asked. He had looked at the RC tanks, then looked up at the RC planes before looking further. It wasn't going to be easy to just pick one thing, considering everything had it's own special attributes.

"now luke i know what your thinking about these toys moving on there own. the truth is there not. im flying and driving every single one of them. the thing special about them is they shoot airsoft bbs or have special things to add to them to look different or do different things...if you want a suggestion id suggest the back room, where more mythological things are"horus said watching one tv playing an anime

Mythological. That sparked an interest in Luke. He nodded to Horus, and promptly headed to the back room. Scanning the room, he noticed an unmarked bottle. It was blue in color with some designs, and the contents weren't recognizable to him. He took the bottle back to Horus. "This looks interesting. But I have no idea what it is."

"that bottle is on which section? hold on nevermind thats in the medevil section, the potion after drinking it of course will turn you into a partial dragon. in retro spect its random so you could grow a long snout or a short one, breath fire, grow wings or not, and so on. heck you could have fur instead of scales." horus said as some regular people came in. horus went over to them and then was speaking russian with ease and pointed in a direction which they later walked in the same direction.

A partial dragon... Luke thought. In truth, being a dragon would be cool! But...I don't think I'd be able to live a normal life. Unless...maybe it's reversible? he decided he'd ask. "So...it's reversible, right? The potion?"

"potion? oh yes that. um actually no it lasts for about 25 minutes to an hour and a half. unless you over dose it and drink three. then it becomes a more permanent thing and id have to reverse it manually." horus said as the russian people were paying for a blue ball at the counter before leaving.

Luke took another few moments to think about it before saying, "While that is a good thing, I think I'll keep looking. Just in case." He took the bottle back and placed it back where it once was. He then continued inspecting the various items in the room closely.

"Do you haff any off zose puzzles vere zee aim ees to er... take off zee rink? I like zose puzzles." Gabriele asked Horus.
"Oh. Cool. Like zee Avatar? Haff you seen zat show on zee television?" Liesel asked, inspecting various items on the shelves that caught her attention as she wandered around with Luke.

after a few minutes of wandering blindly Kane found his way back home. He'd made sure to remember the way to the jade dragon so he could get back again later. Kane smiled to himself while he wouldn't say he'd made new friends, he'd manged to keep his social awkwardness to a minimum. Kane closed the house door behind him and went to the kitchen to make some toast. he was felling a lot less tired and he thought he might be up to bring back Rockey or maybe trying to create the wind elemental he'd been planing to create before he moved. the toast popped making him lose his train of thought. Still wearing his smile Kane sat down to eat his late breakfast.

After it was apparent the park was empty, the sleddog continued on in his pursuit for some assistance. Maybe the town square would him a better chance, come to think of it, he remembered Horus mention a shop he ran. Jade... something.
And with that in mind, he rushed off to find it.

Gabriele decides to have a little fun. "Vell, I haff never sought of eet as magik, but I can move sings." She floats a large, wriggling, fluffy toy spider off a nearby shelf and leaves it hovering in the air directly behind Lyvve's head.
"Look behint you." she instructs with a smile.

A few minutes later Frost arrived at his destination. Jade Dragon Emporium, he noted the name of the establishment as he entered. He had never visited the place himself, but the interior was as exotic as the name implied, though looking around at the wide variety in stock he still couldn’t put a finger on what this place specialized in selling.
With his right hand he brushed over his jacket, checking for a second that his left hand was still properly hidden underneath before beginning a search of the vicinity for a certain magic dog .

"FOUND IT!"horus yelled before a bit of yelling and some clatter shot him past everyone. he then reappeared from the direction he was shot holding a hovering metal ring extracion puzzle. "here we are one metal ring puzzle, this thing gets harder as you solve it"horus said showing the guinea pigs. before seeing frost "ah frost good morning, can i help you?"horus said

Gabriele wasn't startled that time as she was beginnign to get used to Horus's vanishing and reappearing. "Danke schön!"* she said, already entranced by the puzzle. She took it gently from Horus and began manipulating the various loops and bars in the puzzle, remembering to keep the spider hovering in the air.

Kane finished the loaf of bread and started to look round the house for more food. after a few minutes spent searching he decided it would be useless and he'd just have to go back to the jade dragon. Kane was almost to the door when he had an idea. He'd already been out once and the hassle of finding the shop gain would be annoying, he'd also been planning on bringing Rocky back and this seemed like the perfect excuse. Kane looked around trying to remember what box he put the chalk in. with a murmur he began to look through the many boxes scattered around the house. after awhile he found the chalk lying in a box with his old reference books and candles, there was also a notebook that he kept with all the runes needed for each summon. with a smile he grabbed the chalk and book, and made his way into the garden. as he left the backdoor he looked around. perfect, the gardens patio was just big enough. Kane got onto his knees and began to draw. He started with a large circle with another one inside. In the gap between the two circles he began to write the first lot of runes, checking his notepad every few runes to make sure he didn't miss any. After a minute or two of this he began on the second lot of runes, this time placing the on the outer ring. there where considerably less runes to be drawn on the outer ring, only five; they where spaced equally around the edge, this lot only took him half a minute to draw. when he was finely done Kane sat down admired his work and thought about how he was going to get the massive pile of rocks in his hallway all the way to his backyard.

"Hey Horus, nothin much. Umm. Do you mind helping me out? I'm in kind of a fix right now..." The dog looked around as he spoke, as if worried about who might hear him.

"sure well talk in the office while everyone keeps looking around" horus said as a copy of himself only white and with a different name took over what he was doing and the real horus led frost to an office and closing the door nullifying most sound."there some privacy. even if its not as serious as i may think i still like to help....so whats the fix?" horus asked.

the white fox who took over for horus put his name tag on reading "heptos". he smiled looking at everyone knowing few names and he stood there ready to answer questions and aid with products and store business.

"Well..." Frost scratched the back of head with his right hand. His left still tucked in his jacket.
"Okay, so here's what happened. I just finished eating breakfast right? And I started washing my dish and mug. I washed my dish fine, put it on the dry rack. So I was washing my mug, holding the handle. I swear I looked away for a second and then..." He shrugged and then revealed his left hand.
It was perfectly intact and nothing appeared to be wrong with his arm.
But once you got to his hand it was clear what the problem was.
In Avery's hand was the mug he mentioned earlier, his hand firmly wrapped around the handle of the white mug. What was also apparent, was the half inch thick sphere of ice that encased it all.
"I tried melting it on the stove and breaking it but... It won't work... I didn't tell my parents cause I didn't want them to freak. And... I can't let go of the cup.." The dog's ears were flattened in distress.

horus looked at the paw and he made an eeeeh sound."well the only answer i have is to cut the hand off" horus said in a serious tone. after seeing frosts reaction he laughed a bit to show he was joking and went to a cabinet. "well i was serious a bit on cutting off the paw and regrowing the wound with some potions but lets see what else ive got.....ah here we are" horus said holding a bottle of what looked like lava. "if this doesnt work its then ill have to look in the book. otherwise its the chopping block."horus said pouring a small amount onto frosts paw. horhs watched and blew onto the lava looking liquid as it erupted into flames around the frozen area, a small cyclone being controlled by horus. when the flames died off he saw his work was done.
