I realized yesterday jata is the first animal to willingly wear a full set of cloths. Besides king's photo shoot of course.

I am gleefully waiting for upcoming events in this strip. I'm probably not the only one that things this date is going to go horribly, humorously, and/or dramatically awry.

Yeesh, Grape ~ way to have Sabrina give you the violent threats this time.

Well now on the bright side ~ at least Grape isn't literally always right about everything regarding her and Max. She can be tempted. (So many hearts @_@) Makes me anxious to see the ending, but I really wanna stay for the conversations and silliness. X3

I think Sabrina's comment was referring to Foot in Mouth syndrome, not an actual threat...

Yeah but just because she doesn't like hunt doesn't mean she doesn't like meat. To be honest I thought she ate dried kibble 'till now. Although I don't mind. That's good info for her bio.

Anyone else notice how Jata says "Concord has been lucky to have you" and not "is lucky"?

I take that as meaning he fully expects Sabrina to end up with him and doesn't see Concord as much of a threat to that at all. Doesn't look like poor Sabrina's plan is working out very well at all

BTW, I still think this is going to heavily impact Sabrina and Fido, more than it already has. This has been a very involved and interesting arc so far, excellent work!

Of course Jata is just playing ball to see how far Sabrina is willing to go on with this charade.
But even if Sabrina had actually brought Max, Jata would've regarded his presence as something irrelevant. The leopard ìs just having his fun.
What I really wonder is, when push will come to shove, if Fido will have the courage to come out and publicly announce his feelings for Sabrina in the face of the Prince.

After all...he is staying in the house of Pete's minion and chasing after the person most likely to replace Tarot if needed as Dragon's avatar.

If I'm calculating correctly, the current comics will be in collection 6. 5 will probably end with King and Bailey's wedding. As for Housepets 6, Rick so far has a number of interesting visuals he could go with for a cover an title.....

"Housepets: Stompin' Around" (Squeak)
"Housepets: Go Four On the Floor" (Gallifax)
"Housepets: Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! (Jata)

Personally I'd go with Gallifax, especially if Rick could handle the extra expense of a cover that held one way shows Grape Max Peanut and Tarot as normal, and held another way shows them in quad form.

Far be it from me to predict Rick's plots, but I get the impression Jata will play along nice with Sabrina and 'Concord', then just bundle Sabrina up and drag her back to darkest Africa (as if she had a choice). Of course, the fun twist would be if he fell for, um, 'Concord'...

This arc reminds me a bit of the current story in Carry On, if the roles were reversed.

But the thing is that Sabrina actually knew a Jata, unless the real Jata has been kidnapped and hidden somewhere while Pete is pretending to be him... or the Jata Sabrina knew was actually Pete all along :O
