The photographer is exhibiting his works he did in 1959 in China. Also, he turns 97 today, so it is a special event for our photo community.
Now that sounds pretty sweet, Karlos! 1959 in China, during the great cultural revolution - with heaps of upheaval and tons of propaganda and stuff... It will be a fascinating story, I am sure.

Today I spent two hours doing some fursuit maintenance, and now that it's on the air hockey table drying, I'm about to inspect the minivan's brakes to see if they need some servicing. It's going to be our kid's training vehicle so it needs to have rock-solid, reliable brakes.

Today I'm going to pack my stuff and go for one day to Belgium. I hope my health will remain stable, I never was in Belgium before and it would be nice to have a good day there.

I have today off, so I got my car inspected, bought some soap, traded in some books at the used book store and picked up my comics for this week at the comic shop.

Now, I think I will do some light reading and cook a meal.

Today I'm going to finish reading an album. Then I can start reading Mark Twain's classics. I ordered Tom Sawyer and Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn in English, so I can understand this language more, look upon writing style of foreign language and understand American literature a little more.

It's really fun! I'm now rendering my 11th one (3 test versions and 7 erred versions) and it takes about 2.5-3 hours to render every time. And while rendering, my computer would act as if it's running on an mid 1990s processor. So hopefully, this would be the last one. XD

Today I'm going to repair the water heater. The plumber didn't do a good job, and now our garage is a waterland fun park. If waterland fun park was filled with hot water and gardening equipment.

It's results day in England, finally. The day when we all know if we're getting into university, or if we missed the mark. I'm gonna find that out today, and if I don't get the grades, try to get myself a university course through clearance.

Did some digital housecleaning. Trawled through >10 TB of various media organizing, deleting, consolidating, and encrypting. I also secure erased some old drives. One had a bad voice coil and the other lost its marbles. Both now suffer from thoroughly shattered plates.

About half of it is redundant since the systems are imaged every several months so data piles up really quickly. Photos are in raw format, and I keep the raws around in case I think of something. Most have been converted to jpeg which reduces the files to a quarter of their size. Video projects are rendered in full HD and in lossless quality so even a few seconds of video occupy over 100 megabytes of space. With all the fat trimmed out, I'm down to 4.5 TB.
