I wanted to state something: Although no spanish speaking country truly celebrates Saint Valentine's Day as a love day, several translations on television tend to say "¿Quieres ser mi valentín?" regardless of wheter the invitation is to a boy or a girl. Then again, it's not 100% necessary to change it.

I've got an idea, Gren! At the Guys and Dolls arc, when Maxwell speaks in spanish, you could make him speak in english on the translated version. Just like they did with Dora the explorer!

Sorry for the delay, I was banned.
About the strips
-First strip, four panel: I could have used instead "no creo que vaya a ser para tanto" but then the joke with the cubs would be missed.
-Third strip, alt-text: It was impossible to translate that in Spanish so I did it the best as I could. However, if you need an explanation for the original version, here you have
-Four strip, first panel: The face of King really creeps me out! X3
Alright, I'll change it later.Silly Zealot wrote:I wanted to state something: Although no spanish speaking country truly celebrates Saint Valentine's Day as a love day, several translations on television tend to say "¿Quieres ser mi valentín?" regardless of wheter the invitation is to a boy or a girl. Re: New Spanish Translation
I think a good replacement for the third strip's alt-text could be "¿Border Collie... Flor? Perdón, se me chispoteó."
Also, poor Rodrigo only has four fingers on each hand, who is the monster that keeps cutting fingers to cartoon animals?!

But I already used "Collie Flor" for the title. And "se me chispoteó"? Who are you, "el chavo del ocho"?Silly Zealot wrote:I think a good replacement for the third strip's alt-text could be "¿Border Collie... Flor? Perdón, se me chispoteó."

It was "sin querer queriendo"
Good job adapting the context during the translation.

Yeah, let's face it, some of this puns and references are literally impossible to translate word for word to spanish.legendario13 wrote:It was "sin querer queriendo"

Some of the jokes and references Rick makes are so obscure, they would make a hipster weep in terror.

I can't believe it! I finally reach the point when everything started! Well, at least for me, since I started reading the comic and catch up on the last two strips. This arc will always be one of my favorites, not just for what it means to me, but because it have one of the best characters' designs, backgrounds, the play of light and shadow and a cool and very funny story.
About the strips
-second strip-> impossible to adapt correctly the title.
-third strip-> impossible to adapt the double meaning of "puppy love" (it's curious that Miles treat King as a kid and now he's getting married )
-fourth strip-> I like Fox when he doesn't say a word
-Fifth strip-> Romeo and Juliet scene failed XD

Hello everyone. I just saw the link, it certainly has the last strip public Gren identical in translation, but also has already published the last five strips ending the arc.
Let us listen.

Re: New Spanish Translation
Hi guys, and I apologize for the long absence but my internet provider went dead and I hadn't any other means to connect and notify my situation. Now I need to catch up with a lot of things, so the translations may be delayed for a bit.
About what miguel said, I don't know who's the guy who made the website, and I have no problem if he or she want to use my translations, but at least I hope he/she asked Rick's permission to create that site.

Thank you guys for your support.
I have to say that in the first strip I was tempted to use "al mago le hace falta mucha cindor" as the title but that joke wouldn't be understood by anyone who weren't of my country XD (And yes, I know I ruined the Gauntlet reference).
About the second strip, it's probable that not much of you get the joke about the alt-text. Basically, it's a way to say that the author is aware of the little plot hole in second pannel.
And last but not least, I changed the title of the third strip because this way is more funny (and it wouldn't had sense if I translated it literally).

Gren I am the owner of the page and I can give you housepetslatino.wordpress.com page to put the comic translated there, I hise page not everyone can see the comic because not everyone has PC and use your phone to connect and pictures are displayed so hise page and give you the password and the user to put the comic there, and I have the permission of Rick, but I have many things to do and I could not manage it if you are unsure of how to use it because I say and I pass my email or facebook. Responds.
