Yes, actually. You're the first person to ever see through my disguise! I'm the first-ever sentient AI, ntswm2 is my experimental designation. DARPA isn't known for naming it's computers anything interesting, unfortunately. Fun-fact: I know the launch codes to 2/3 of our nuclear armament and at least one contingency plan for the conquest of Canada.

Oh right, because all of this is completely classified, the NSA will be showing up shortly to take the entire population of the forums into protective custody.

Oh and thanks for the welcome :D

I didn't say I had access to the command and control networks. They cut off most of my security clearance after that East Coast blackout in '03. My bad, by the way. These days, I just read webcomics and surf the web. WAAAY less boring than military simulations, let me tell you.

Welcome, Hypernovatic. I think I'll call you either Hypernovatic or just Hyper to avoid confusion since we already have a forumite called "Duster".

Also, welcome to you too, sunauto. Are your college and your robots related? It'd be cool if they were. I have a friend who's studying electrical engineering and he's always making gadgets and gizmos.

Welcome, WG. We have a diverse range of RP threads on the forum you should check out. I had to look up LARP. It sounds fun. I've never done anything like that before.
Is there any particular period/place in history you're interested in? Or just history in general? Are your LARP's historical reenactments or just for fun?

All of history really, but I particularly like Medieval Europe. As for LARPing just fun mostly, but I also work for a company that runs summer (and at other times in the year) camps about improv theater and LARPing for kids. And I'm definitely going to check out the RP threads.

I'm kinda the same. I like finding out about how people lived, worked and died throughout the ages rather than just hearing about names and dates.
I'm a pretty rubbish actor so I doubt I'd be any good at LARP. I do enjoy writing though so I like the text-based RP's we have here.

Anyways, I'm rambling. Welcome to HP and have fun. ;)

Welcome WierdGamer!!! (You need a bit of less generic username*), glad you joined the madness!** Why do they call it live-action role-play instead of real life role-play, anyway? Live-action role-play sounds like a dictionary definition of the word "theatrics". Good to hear that you use your hobby to entretain kids, but medieval Europe is too mainstream. Role-play a caveman instead, or a pre-colombian american aboriginal, or a leper-ridden ex-fisherman living within the kingdom of Siam in the 17th century! :D
And you claim to be a huge nerd, eh? You need to pass a test for that:http://www.grrlpowercomic.com/archives/728

*No, I'm not being hipocritical, how many people have the "Zealot" within their username?
**All trips to the realm of madness are final, sorry. Should you try to leave the madness, King Leonidas will kick you back into it while yelling "This is Athens!" or something like that.
