Re: New Spanish Translation
Bravo!
Excellent work!
I haven't found mistakes lately so I will just...
Second strip, the T/A: ...EL "AMÉN"? IERA...
and so in the seventh, also the T/A: ...Ahora no nos importa ¿O no?
Wouldn't fit better backwards?: ¿O si?
I know... I know... details.
P.S. Patience is our virtue Gren. "We shall wait for your return"

Notes: Corrected 4th and 9th strip of Macbeth's arc as @legendario suggested.
45º Arco: La entrevista

Told you guys I was going to have less free time now but thanks for waiting for me all this time. I couldn't do much but at least it's something.
Thanks for correcting me @legendario. Remember people, if you see any mistake in the translations, grammar, orthography or if I don't get the jokes right just tell me and I'll correct it

Thanks for the new translations! Easter is good to start reading comics
Re: New Spanish Translation
Technically, "Konnichiwa" is spelled with two n's. All the other misspellings are consistent with Rick's (and general English conception), so I guess they're OK?

OK, I'll correct it, though I didn't thought Romaji had structure at all. I thought it was something just for free interpretation, specially because not all the countries share the same pronunciation even if they all use the roman alphabet.Obbl wrote:Technically, "Konnichiwa" is spelled with two n's. Two updates in one day? mass hysteria!
Haha, now seriously, I have to say I had some troubles with the last few strips, specially the alt-text of the second strip in this post. Hope I have done well.

Re: New Spanish Translation
Muy bue- Ahem, excuse me. Very nice!
In the "¡No podemos parar aquí!" strip, the alt-text should say: "¿Cuando he hecho yo algo que tenga sentido?"
And, in the next one, I think it would sound nicer if the last verse from the limmerick man said: "Y una deuda aún por pagar conocerán." or something of the sort.
Keep it up!

Re: New Spanish Translation
...Also (here I go again) In the first strip of the Interview Arc.
Earl says "part-time jobs", here in México we use a lot of anglicisms but not specifically that one, rather we use "trabajos de medio tiempo". Not a mistake though is still perfectly clear just wanna ask you guys wich way you use it?
And so is the case with "hoja de vida" usually we would go with "curriculum"
Other than that, nice job with the one-offs

Notes: Corrected first and second strips of 45th arc and third and fourth strips of 46th arc.
INTERMEDIOS-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OFF:
Well, these last ones were pretty hard at some points, but I think I managed good enough. Yeah I know I'm sucks with jokes but these were the only ones I could barely think of. I hear suggestions as always.
Sorry for the Argentine slang in the last strip, that was the only joke that occurred to me. If you didn't know, "sacar el cuero" means to rip someone to shreds with gossip or bad comments. Besides, you don't know how much I had to contain myself from use the joke "fantasma del descenso" instead of the one I used "veo gente muerta" in the alt-text of the last strip of this arc, because probably no other than an Argentinian would get it.
Thank you all of you guys for read my translations and correct me everytime. Now delight your eyes with a bit more of Fido's gang and his girlfriend and tomorrow if everything goes as planned, then you will enjoy another arc of King's adventures.

Re: New Spanish Translation
wow, how many strips translated in such a short time, if you're taking the hand
Re: New Spanish Translation
incredible! I miss a week and I find a pleasant surprise, several arches to sprout in the week. Gren excellent once again, thank you for doing so.
Re: New Spanish Translation
Wow, what a surprise! Good to see all of you guys still around here.
Shytzo, I didn't know that was actually a place . One of my dad's friends told me that he went to Costa Rica once to dive and said that was a paradise (he didn't specified the place, though he could have been referring to that city named Paraíso XD). The only thing that he didn't liked it was the food, but I suppose that's normal because people are always too accustomed to the food of their own nation.
Nop, there's no mistake, that's how Rick has named it in the original strip. LookSilly Zealot wrote:Good call! Let me relay the message with tact.

Re: New Spanish Translation
Actually, Montezuma is the way most American's recognize the name, but it's the same guy as Moctezuma. So if it's more widely recognized that way among the Spanish speaking countries, you might want to go with that.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montezuma (likely Moctezuma II)
I actually didn't know this until Shytzo and Zealot brought it up

Okay, I'll correct it. Thanks Obbl and Zealot

Re: New Spanish Translation
I don't think so, cause the best places of CR (in my opinion) aren't beaches but forest, mountains, volcanos....etc.Gren wrote:Shytzo, I didn't know that was actually a place . And about the food isn't bad at all, just remember there are different cultures and ways to eat in your country people eat a lot of meats like Milanesas or Choripanes with the famous Mate...i have heard that you eat bakeries in the breakfast like cakes, pies or pastafrola we eat food that you can consider lunch in the breakfast like the gallo pinto...always with custard and Salsa Lizano (is a costarrican sauce with a similar flavor to worcestershire sauce) oh and cup of costarrican coffee <3

Gren No problem, everything okay over there, you are not flooded the house?

Fear not, my friend, I live still still! And, in fact I somehow miracriously made it through the flood with both possessions and loved ones 100% unscathed. Some people have guardian angels. Me, it seems, have a personal angel cohort guard!Gren wrote:Don't worry, I'm fine, I live in a first floor and my neighborhood wasn't affected by the flood. What about you rodrigo? EDIT: By the way, the news of the fatalities of the flooding made it to the official english wikipedia (whiskypedia?) news report.

Such acts of solidarity and fraternity are very rare nowadays is such a shame Samuel died but the support of the population to do the best they could is an act that deserves recognition.
@Gren I had hear "****" before but I hadn't ever used in that context (I hope I hadn't make a huge mistake, nah JK )
