I'm not a huge fan. The nerdiness is just too stereotypical sometimes.

I haven't been keeping up with Colbert or Conan for a month now. I keep forgetting that I can watch episodes on their websites. I also no longer have amc, so I haven't seen any Breaking Bad.

Re: tv shows
I try to avoid it whenever possible but occasionally I'm in the mood for dumb tv. There are a few programs that I like for that purpose because they are so bad and/or obviously scripted. Duck Dynasty and Jersey shore will forever be guilty pleasures of mine despite the fact that they're about as "real" as a three dollar bill.

Big Bang Theory, Bones, Once Upon a Time, Elementary, Mr. and Mrs. Murder, Midsomer Murders, and Doctor Who are some of my favourites right now.
I also enoy rewatching some of the cartoons and other shows I loved as a kid such as Rupert, Angry Beavers, CatDog, The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends, Albert the Fifth Musketeer, Don't Eat The Neighbours (aka Big Teeth, Bad Breath), Round The Twist, Genie From Down Under, and Alvin and the Chipmunks ( ) are just a few examples.

Re: tv shows
My favourite shows right now are generally Crime ones, CSI, NCIS, Hawaii Five-O, Beauty & The Beast are crime shows that quickly come to mind. However, I do like other shows like Doctor Who(When I'm not hiding behind the sofa xD) and POkemon(When it's on).
When I was younger I basically lived off Thomas The Tank Engine and Cartoon Network. Ed, Edd n' Eddy and Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends were probably my favourite shows.

I haven't seen Hawaii Five-O or Beauty and the Beast but I'm not a huge fan of NCIS or CSI because I find them too unrealistic. It's one of the reasons I prefer Bones.Lifio13 wrote:My favourite shows right now are generally Crime ones, CSI, NCIS, Hawaii Five-O, Beauty & The Beast

Re: tv shows
Right now I am not currently watching any TV shows. I have Food Network on in a second room, but that's more background noise then anything else, I only pay attention to it in passing. Part of it is because I only have four hours when I get home from work to do stuff, so I usually spend it doing RP's and sometimes playing video games, instead of watching TV. But when I do watch TV, it's usually Law and Order or NCIS or such.
Re: tv shows
Just started watching Twin Peaks, so far I've only seen the pilot episode.
Also watching Alfred Hitchcock Presents, which is a lot like Thriller.
If you like Monty Pythons Flying Circus I suggest checking out At Last the 1948 Show and Do Not Adjust Your Set

Re: tv shows
My favorite international TV show is Top Gear, obviously the original British one. Nuff said.
Awesome and unique hosts, really funny, spectacular tests and scenes, they do crazy things and it's great for cars enthusiasts. "Some say...".
I'm not fan of all those situation comedies and movie series, never got attracted by them... About cartoons, have got to watch some series in past. Generally, I've liked some Japanese anime and many series produced by Cartoon Network. Concerning still active Italian TV shows, there isn't nothing good, I just like Striscia la Notizia.

*sque-ahem*
I'm hopeful. Even though McCracken and Faust are with Disney right now doing Wander Over Yonder, I think CN might pull this one off. If they don't I will be eternally disappointed and lament like many other people over the quality drop they've faced.
Well, maybe not that drastic. Hey, at least they're trying.

Re: tv shows
I just saw the new Powerpuff Girls and I don't know if I should:
A: Cry
B: Call it the best thing ever
I am torn 50/50 down the middle over it. For me, the style just seems like they went "Hey, let's pick the cheapest, most awkward style change you could ever pull on the re-boot of a cartoon and go with that."
But on the other hand, the Professor and Mojo Jojo (Even if he was hard to understand half of the time) were funny as heck. I especially like the direction they took with the Professor's personality and some of the humor, but at the same time it didn't seem to do what the original show did for me. It's not like Teen Titans where it was really, really obvious they were going to change the entire feel in Teen Titans Go. I expected it to keep at least some of the charm that it had, but it couldn't really be more different.

Lawyer version of House?
Rake seems like a promising series.
Narcissistic, genius, and fatally flawed main character? Check.

watching "The Spoils of Babylon", it's a spoof of the epic-scale "TV event" miniseries adapted from bestselling novels.

Re: tv shows
So a friend of mine got me into Dexter. I wont say much about it as to stay in the guidelines of the forum rules, but if you have Netflix, I'd recommend it. It's actually a really really good show. My roommate got me into Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I've just finished season three and am planning to finish it this semester.
I'm still a huge fan of The Walking Dead and Frasier.
Does anyone have any opinions of a show called "The Following?"

You should read the comics that spawned from the good TV series. They're still going.

Re: tv shows
I just found out that one of my favorite shows is finally getting a DVD release. I grew up watching reruns of it on Sci-Fi Channel.
Its called "Monsters". As you might expect, each episode is a story about monsters, most scary while a few a humorous. Usually they end with some sort of ironic twist or shock ending.
One of my favorite episodes is called "The Hole". It is set during the Vietnam War. Three soldiers enter a NLF tunnel and find everyone has been killed except on dying man. He tells them that to make the tunnel they dug too deep and awoke something evil in the earth, and the tunnels won't let the leave. Trying to find their way back out, the soldiers keep taking the wrong twists and turns, and ending up where they started. Also, the NLF bury their dead in the walls of the tunnels...

It would have to be "Invasion of the Neptune Men", "Squirm", "Laserblast" or "Werewolf". Those probably made me laugh the most.Liam wrote:So, what's your favorite MST3K episode?

I've seen but a fraction of their run yet, but Space Mutiny and Agent of H.A.R.M. were the big highlights yet.
