Peanut is either going to cause serious problems, or prove surprisingly adept at this.
Personally I think the latter would be funnier.

Whoa, I just realized.... wouldn't Ponbon being in that convention mean he is a psychic too?

Re: Arc #59: PsyCon
not necessarily not everyone that goes to a convention has that field as there job a lot go just to see others in the field.
and a lot of time its so they can contract someone in the field if there company dosent have someone or that they personally need someone in the field to do work for them.

Re: Arc #59: PsyCon
So, does that mean that's the panel of her "company" and she has an own, private panel?

A booth is a display at which goods or services are sold; a panel is a presentation. Peanut is manning the Dragon Astral Travel Service (DAT S!) booth while Tarot attends a panel.

I think he may have been asking if by "my panel" she meant she's running it or just attending it. If not, I'm wondering that myself.

I hope someone sells phones that are not limited by linear time at PsyCon. Might be a bit hard to call DATS anytime the universe exists if your phone service doesn't work for another 100 million years.

She's actually breaking the fourth wall. She'll appear in a future panel of the comic strip. She's getting ready.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:I think he may have been asking if by "my panel" she meant she's running it or just attending it. If not, I'm wondering that myself.

If she were actually talking about an appearance in a future panel of the comic, I would be immensely pleased. :3

The third panel is both adorable and depressing. And I’m guessing this arc is now over right? Also Peanut totally killed a guy, what the heck Rick.

Tarot, you should know better than to trust Peanut with this sort of thing. You should have brought Sabrina, too.

Re: Arc #59: PsyCon
I think time is circular, so Ponbon went to the end of time and into the beginning, where he was seen and stories were passeddown through generations until he eventually became a character in popular culture.
this theory seems to assume Ponbon can live a reeeeeeeeeeeeeally long time. So instead, I say that, because he couldn't go to the end of time, he was sent to a randomized destination where he was seen and turned into a character in popular culture.

Re: Arc #59: PsyCon
I don't know how else you could take Panel 2 then. Tarot says they won't see him again and since they sent him there they should be able to get him back, but since Tarot implies they aren't going to see him again they clearly can't; therefore Peanut, for all intents and purposes, killed him even if you assume he didn't do it literately.Dissension wrote:I think some of you are reading a little too much into it. = P

Re: Arc #59: PsyCon
Um. No? Tarot agrees with Peanut that they'll probably never see him again. She does not indicate they cannot and will not see Ponbon again. If it is "impossible" to send someone to the end of time, how, exactly, would selling them a ticket there kill them?

Re: Arc #59: PsyCon
Well how was Peanut able to even get a ticket to sell to him in the first place then? Since the ticket is impossible to get I would assume no actual travel agency would take him there meaning that either he has a useless ticket that he shouldn't have even gotten as its impossible (Making Tarot caring about this rather stupid, since all it would involve would be a simple refund) or Peanut gave him the Ticket and sent him there thereby killing him. So either he killed him or Tarot is worrying about nothing.

What makes you think that Ponbon as killed? Maybe it's just really difficult to retrieve someone from the end of time. I think it is.IceKitsune wrote:So either he killed him or Tarot is worrying about nothing.

Re: Arc #59: PsyCon
Indeed, Tarot's reaction makes it seem much more likely that getting Ponbon back would be a nightmare, not that he's dead.
Further, note that I did not, in fact, say selling the ticket was impossible - you can pretty much print any kind of ticket you like. In fact, if you'd care for one, I'll send you your own ticket to the end of time. Please do not put words in others' mouths or reject the canon of the comic, which pretty clearly indicates it is impossible to send someone to the end of time.
As someone who works in customer service and spent a long time handling escalated situations, I can tell you people will become irate and downright hostile over even the slightest bit of misinformation or misunderstanding. "A simple refund" is rarely enough to make regular customers happy, let alone magical creatures involved in bets of uncertain magnitude.Well how was Peanut able to even get a ticket to sell to him in the first place then? Somehow I always find Peanut adorable when he lowers his ears. It's like he was defenseless then and he needs a big hug
Oh, and about the discussion above... I'm sure Ponbon will be back. He just has to prove the point.
And someone with such ears can't just vanish like that!

Re: Arc #59: PsyCon
I read Peanut's statement about not seeing him again as a joke relating to the crossover (in fact if you notice, he's leaning on the - if not fourth then first - wall as he says it). Like at the end of the Simpsons/Critic crossover....
Jay: "And if any of you want to come visit MY show...."
Bart: "Nah, we're not gonna be doing that."

Re: Arc #59: PsyCon
I saw the not seeing him again statement as saying that he wouldn't come back to Tarot's travel service again. Not as a "He's stuck in some great unknown part of space-time" thing.
But then the last panel and Alt. text made me think otherwise once I read the comments here.

Re: Arc #59: PsyCon
I thought it was referring to the possibility that Ponbon will be coming back to exact his revenge by gouging out their eyes putting magic blindfolds over their eyes so they can never see again.
Maybe that's just me though.
