not yet anyway. If Rick and the global mods go mad with power, it could happen.
Of course, we missed a chance to turn this around: If every forum mod had embarrassing pictures taken of them, it would stand to reason that these photos also exist of Diss and Sleet.

Re: Chat Thread 37: Diss Wants to Be Involved
I like to think I have greater powers of persuasion than most of the other mods, but that might be more of a 'Diss is scary' thing than a global mod thing. = PJeffCvt wrote:I've been wondering something.
What are the differences between a forum mod and a global mod?
I mean, I know that global mods have power throughout the entire forum, while the forum mods only have power in the specific part they are in.
But do the forum mods have the ability to do everything that a global mod can, and they just agree to not use it outside of their area?
I have been wondering about this for a while.
Specific tool sets are not important. Rest assured, each class of moderator has the equipment to do everything they need to. As a forum mod, my first job was reigning in the lawlessness of the Not the Comic section. As a supermod, I'm more focused on site-wide issues and supporting the forum moderator team.
Oh, and I get to use the 'reply with sarcasm (!!)' button, which I've referenced before.

Global mods get a larger supply closet to live in

I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's a Russian furry websiteLiam wrote:Yeah, ought to have foreseen that...sonic id furreh!!! wrote:what's paws RU? o.o
I'm still an occasional visitor to a forum where it's highly likely the admins don't even remember it's still running. The mods used to tell people not to complain that the admins were inactive, but now they openly discuss that the admins don't care and that they're essentially running themselves. It's sort of like Lord of the Flies if Lord of the Flies was a really boring book where the most at stake was Hugmonster jokes. The Grey Wolverine wrote:I was once part of a forum that was anarchy, even mods and admins were just like spammy spam spam.

Well, I like frozen deserts too, but I like ice cream.

Also, a message to all cats that value their lives:
STOP. CHEWING. INTERNET. CABLES.
Candycorn chewed another cord. It sucks that i can't move the cables somewhere in the house out of safe distance or without making a mess, but if Candycorn can't stop chewing them it's going to come down to either the Internet or the Cats at the house. Something that just sucks to hear altogether.
Newest plan: Make all the computers wireless somehow. Including the Desktops.

Lock the room that the computer is in when no one is around to prevent it from happening.
Just make sure that Candycorn is not in the room when it is locked.

Re: Chat Thread 37: Diss Wants to Be Involved
Unfortunately, someone is forgetting to do just that at home, which caused another fiasco. Since i'm always at work, i can't be sure who is forgetting to shut the door to the room with the cords.
So i suggested it's time to go wireless for safe keepings. Now the only problem is if we can all use it.

Would help if i could put a bell or something on the cords that warns us if a cat got into the room =P
