I've been to a few anime conventions. I went to Otakon in 2010, 2009, and 2008, I went to Anime Mid-Atlantic for one day and Katsucon for one day.
If I didn't have a dang test on the first day of it, I'd have signed up to be on staff at Nekocon last year. it's only about half an hour away from my campus.

I'm thinking of going to PAX East in Boston when its around, anyone else going or considering going? Best part about Halifax is the train station, makes it real easy to get into Boston.

I still have no idea what it's for. And I'm far too tired to do anything to learn about it at this point. NO LEARNING 'TILL MONDAY. XP

(although I think I've heard about that mockumentary)

But I say get the shirt! If you like it, then get it.

it's a medical test also known as a Lumbar Puncture. My dad had a few while suffering from encephalitis.

but in this sense, it's a fake band from an old mockumentary.

RandomGeekNamedBrent, defibrillators don't work that way. You select output in joules. Additionally, if the patient is in any arrhythmia other than fibrillation, there's no point using the defibrillator at all. It's pretty much what it says on the box. Lastly, there is no cause (and it is fairly unprofessional) to yell during the course of treatment.

1) I knew I was completely screwing up how defibrillators work
2) Interesting to know, but I didn't specify a kind of arrhythmia
3) It was brain surgery on the war-front. They needed to shout over gunfire.

Now this is embarrassing

I think I've forgotten a form that comes after cat in my transformation cycle. So far, I've gone human, fox, panda, wolf, cat. Anyone know if there was anything else I am on a regular basis?

and if I am done with the cycle, it's embarrassing that I don't remember it.

The form you have requested, while it can be found, does not belong in this cycle, as it is a free transformation that can be made temporarily within the cycle.
please try another.

so I know it isn't sloth, Pikachu, or dragon. nor is it penguin or newt. I think I may just be remembering my number of transformations wrong.

The desire to express oneself through verbal or written communication, to pass ideas from one individual to another (or to a group), is part of the human experience.

These ones go to 11.....

The use of flowery language is, counterintuitive as it may seem upon initial inspection, often the sign of a dullard seeking to hide his lack of original thought by impressing his contemporaries with his vocabulary, more parrot than intellectual.

I find the accusation offensive. It is uncouth to say those possessed of an expansive vocabulary lack original thought. Frequently through my childhood (and young adulthood), I was forced to repeat myself, generally in the simplest terms possible, to increase my peers' comprehension.

If indeed your comprehension is at the level you claim then you would have seen that I said often, taking into account those who use a higher register not to advance their own position in life but simply because circumstances have led to them speaking in such a manner.

I don't mind it much, I had to read enough shakespeare in high school to get used to reading stuff like that (And Jane Eyre, which I really liked for reasons that still elude me today)
I just dealt with a couple people through school that would raise the register of their speech to try and intimidate people they were arguing. It was always really irritating to me (which incidently is what I was refering to two posts ago. I didn't intend to attack anyone in particular it's just one of those little human behaviors that annoy the crap out of me)
