Oh yeah, one more thing about the new episode. I guess now Derpy and Dinky are justified.

Teens React.
some hate on us, some tolerate, one thinks we're trolling, and another is quite possibly a brony now.
of course the time constraints means they were only going off of the opening theme and a couple captioned pictures, unfortunately.

I'm not sure if they were serious or not, but I'm just going to go with what I seen.

I kinda wanted to punch a couple of those guys in the face. Namely Adam and Ethan.
I definitely respect Isaac though. He thought it was pretty silly, but at least he was able to say, "Hey, whatever. You can like what you want."

[rant]You guys are saying that like everyone who doesn't like My Little Pony is a troll. I don't like it not because I thought it was too girlish or whatever, I just didn't care for it. Yes, I watched the whole first season and I am not watching the second one. Also I don't go around spreading hate messages to bronies but when something is literally filled with pony pictures it gets very annoying. Being a fan is OK, but some people need to regulate themselves and not talk about it constantly.[/rant]
Posting ponies in pony threads is OK, just not outside where it is completely off-topic, unnecessary.

Re: My Little Pony
Yeah. Honestly, I bet more of them would've been less harsh if they'd played a scene from the show, rather than the intro. Because the intro is probably the most stereotypically "girly" thing about the show. I'm not sure if it would've changed any of their minds about liking it, but it might've made a slightly better impression on some of them.

only slightly, but I'm talking about the stereotypical tough guys she seems to think she wants. you can stereotype while referring only to stereotypes.mariomarc wrote:isn't that also something of a stereotype?RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:she's young, give here time to realize how many "tough" guys can be jerks. then she'll be begging for a brony.
Re: My Little Pony
Yes. But she was directly asking for a stereotype "tough" guy. Namely one who is "manly" enough to not watch MLP and who has nice biceps (if her flexing were any indicator).mariomarc wrote:isn't that also something of a stereotype?

The "teens react" video annoyed me a bit.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzozSSGETJo
not because some of the dislike of MLP, they can hate it all they want,
but how hard some of them where bashing and assuming people who watch it are out of there mind.

Re: My Little Pony
I think if that "teens react" showed them some of the more adult jokes or some of the cool moments of the show, they could have been more receptive. I also skip the opening everytime I watch it.Kyderra wrote:The "teens react" video annoyed me a bit.

Besides they were too narrow minded towards us. If they didn't like the show because they watched it and they still didn't, then it was okay for them to say "I don't like it, but if others do, fine."
As it was stated only one guy, at the show, said that.

Re: My Little Pony
Ponies have their place. Where it gets out of hand is when they invade completely unrelated topics for no reason other then some bronies feel they have to 'spread the word' like it's the second coming. But both sides really can be pretty immature about it, with trolls trolling pony fans and pony fans trolling non fans.Wanderer wrote:[rant]You guys are saying that like everyone who doesn't like My Little Pony is a troll. I think you didn't understand my point. Judge something to be bad or good WITHOUT even knowing it, it's stupid. People can say "MLP: FiM sucks" if they don't like the show after they watch it.Dissension wrote:Let's not go down this path to pointless bickering. Have you ever heard of the expression "Don't judge a book by its cover"? Or is judging people or things just by the way they look like is now "cool"?

I have just discovered that the most recent My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic episode has a family whose last name is Cake.
This pleases me.
Very much.
Especially since none of their first names are Honey or Vanilla.

Anyway, I like Pinkie Pie in this episode for the most part (except where she kicked Twilight Sparkle out), which is saying something because I usually have not liked in her in most of the recent episodes.

Not really, they've just been Pinkie's bosses and the people you get baked goods from.
I liked when she kicked Twilight out! It was kinda funny how they faked you out and made you think Pinkie was about to get some help.

I really liked the latest episode,
It was great the see Pinkie Pie be get annoyed and aggravated about something.
but at the same time the motivation she put in it and hard work payed off.
there was a small grudge I had about part where the baby used magic to fly around.
Not that I mind the baby's magic, but using magic to let a unicorn fly around bugs me.
