Well, we all have our opinions. I love heavy and power metal, for example, and I can't stand death metal. That's just horrible for me. Screamo just sounds awful. And yes, I have listened to a lot of death metal bands, they all sound the same to me. The guitar is usually low riffs played chromatically as fast as possible. I just don't see how anyone can like it, but as I like to say - opinions differ.

I like some trash, too.

Well all rock has jazz to thank for that. But yeah, the double bass pedal was invented for jazz use before metal even existed. Metal owes a ton to jazz.

Guys stop talking about genres of music you know I get lost when you do that
actually I'm going to venture you didn't know that
so anyways this is totally heavy metal right

I wasn't going to post this, since both of these songs are old news at this point and I'm worried that it's one of those things everybody's heard a hundred times but took longer to get to me, but now I have justification.

Also, despite being a country fan, I don't like Adele's originals. Such soft piano music doesn't fit with her powerful voice. :S Although, I did hear a pop radio mix of her song, "Someone Like You" last Saturday and it was pretty awesome. :3

This song has officially made Breaking Benjamin my new favorite band. Which is great, because it's been months since Ive found a new band I really liked.
My favorites are "Give Me A Sign", "I Will Not Bow", "Dear Agony", and "Breakdown".
Dear God, those titles sound uncharacteristically angsty for my iPod. :S

I also love Three Days Grace. :D

I've seen them twice. they never disappoint.

also, their version of "carol of the bells" is officially called "Christmas Eve Sarajevo 24/12" because if you notice, it starts out with "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen"

Very underrated among old school metal fans

So, uh
I bought the Minor threat complete discography last week, and I've come to realize they're pretty much the best punk band ever

I'd give just about anything for a chance to go back in time to one of these shows

and I've really been getting back into Children of Bodom
