Favourite and/or least favourite shows, movies and games.

Post by 1boredcanadian »

This is my first time coming up with a subject so......
Unless this subject is on here somewhere else. Put your favourite and/or least favourite show or movie and since people on here seem to elaborate, if you want to explain go ahead and do so. Or upcoming movies you might think people on here might enjoy.

My favourite movie is the original Gone in Sixty Seconds why: There is a forty minute car chase and I'm a car guy need I explain more?
I may go and see Drive. It's about a stunt driver that moonlights as a getaway driver.

From the mean green wrecking machine

My favorite show is My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and my least favorite could be any of the reality shows that glorify vice and stupidity. My favorite movie is either Hot Fuzz or The Lion King, and I can't say I have a least favorite.

Hot Fuzz is probably one of my top 5 alltime favorite movies.
My favorite movie has to be Slapshot, it's pretty much cannon in any hockey lockerroom.
Favorite tv show is probably the Walking dead,
I hate hate hate hate american idol.

Hmm... well, least favorite is an easy one; The Jersey Shore. Or maybe that Kardashian one. Urgh. My favorite show, on the other hand ... well, The Soup gets in the top ten for making both of those shows really, really funny. As opposed to scary and deeply saddening. =P

Also, Doctor Who. Doctor Who is always awesome. Always and forever. ^_^

favorite show is Whose Line Is It Anyway. even though it's only repeats, it's one of the only shows to consistently make me actually LOL.
Least favorite show is any of that MTV reality crap.

Favorite movie, I don't really have one. nor do I have a least favorite. though I suppose the Justin Bieber movie is pretty high on my "bad movies" list.

Favorite show: NCIS, hands down.
Least favorite: I think I'd get mauled by half of this forum if I said it.

I don't know if I have a favorite TV show, but the closest thing I can think of offhand in terms of a favorite movie at this time is The Prince of Egypt.

When it comes to story and characters and craft and all that, I'll go with Lost which I'm sure will be a shock to you guys. Whose Line is great too, though, because it's unpredictable and consistently funny. Plus, every time you think you've seen everything in the show, you find some other episode or unaired bit that you've missed.

For least favorite, I'll cheat and say all varieties of Sports talk and analysis because I find it unbearably grating and dull.

I don't care enough about movies to have favorites and least favorites. I will say that I found The Net thoroughly enjoyable because of its datedness, melodrama, and half-written story, but that's probably not what the producers were going for.

In no particular order.

Favorite TV shows: How I Met Your Mother, Psych, The Mentalist, or My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic(it's not as bad as the name implies :P ).
Least favorite show: I think I'll have to go with that new CBS sitcom Two Broke Girls. Some of the jokes were okay, but all except one or two characters seemed like cliche stereotypes to me.

Favorite movies: Either Inception or The Lion King.
Least favorite movie: Uh, let me get back to you on that.

And what about video games, do they count?

I liked Red Dead Redemption more, the protagonist seems more likable, and the gameplay just feels more refined to me.
Right now my favorite games are Disgaea 4, Persona 4, and The World Ends With You.

Favorite show: Hmm... A toss up between Frasier and Whose Line is it Anyway? Probably Whose Line, if I had to choose. My favorite show currently running would be Leverage.

Favorite movies: The Shawshank Redemption, The Seventh Seal (Swedish film in 1957 by Ingmar Bergman - classic stuff, everyone should check his stuff out), The Lion King, and Up.

Favorite Video Games: Sid Meier's Pirates! (The 2004 remake), Simcity 4, Bastion, and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. There are probably many others, but I don't have the inclination to list them all.
Reminiscence: A Tale of Dreams - Complete
An Experiment - Ongoing: Story 2, 'The Babylon Incident', in progress!
Tired/Eternity/Broadsides: 'I did not have literary relations with those fanfics'

Let's try to cut back on the chat speak.

My favorite game in terms of longevity would probably be SimCity 2000. Still play it- it's the only reason we still own our floppy drive and giant green iMac. You'll notice that I just redefined the question about "favorite game", mostly because I got stuck answering it. I don't think I play enough games to be able to single out favorites.

*giggles* I'll admit, I still watch Spongebob from time to time, but it's not my favorite. It's very nostalgic, but not much else. But my absolute favorite shows is a tie between House and Mythbusters. Also, Bizzare ER, as well as Untold Stories of the E.R. are close runners up, as well are Mystery E.R. and Mystery Diagnosis. (I know, medical shows!? How could those be amusing?) Well, I LOVE medical shows! There's another one, OH! I think it's called Life in the E.R. or something along those lines. The one's that are actual films and tapes from the E.R. are the BEST! I want to become an emergency room physician, (nooo realy?) so I like to get a look at what I'm gonna be dealing with. I also enjoy The Regular Show, Mad TV, as well as Adventure Time. They are so funny and cute at times!! x3

my mom watches a lot of those medical shows. my dad's story of encephalitis almost made it on Mystery Diagnosis, but the hospital where a doctor refused to give him a lumbar puncture didn't want it to look like they were a bad hospital on national TV, so they wouldn't let the doctor that finally did diagnose him talk, so they couldn't do the show.

In all fairness, the hospital may have a host of highly competent staff and one doctor who just happened to come to a wrong conclusion. Allowing that story to air would wreck their reputation and potentially open them up to all kinds of malpractice law suits. People will sue anything in a lab coat.

yes. but as I said, the doctor who finally did give him the test and diagnose him instead of assuming he was crazy and faking seizures worked for the same hospital. it was one bad doctor.

I guess it is high time I participate in this.

Favorite:
Show:
I only watch 3 shows ever now. Pokemon, Bleach, and Naruto. Pokemon is likely my favorite.
Movie:
Hands down I must say "How to Train Your Dragon" is my favorite movie of all time. I like vikings and I like the sweet-hearted story with a weak boy who fears to take the life of anything.
Game:
This will have to be Phantom Brave on the PS2. Not a well known title, though it has connection to the Disgaea series, which is much more well known. In any case. I have spent hundreds of hours on that game. So many hundreds of lovely hours.

Least Favorite
I will be vague and blunt.
Show:
Those annoying adult cartoons with horrible artists and lazy writing.
Movie:
Horror movies I guess? I do not watch any, but those I have seen reviews of scare me for quite a few days. I's a coward.
Game:
Anything based on Bang Bangs.

Don't worry you're not the only one. Yet I did watch Death Race and enjoyed it. I must have faulty wiring in my brain. :|
