I posted once in "The Comic" as opposed to "Not the comic". My self-esteem went down by 3% that day.

Well I got my new laptop today, was so super mega excited about it, went to play minecraft, and it turns out that netbooks aren't really very good for minecraft D: (I need to figure out how to successfully install mods for version 1.8.1)

I don't get one until medical school. Which is fine, 'cause this one will last me a while.

I've had my current desktop since 2006; it was a gift from a friend when his school gave him a bigger, better one. x3

I've got two laptops, a Toshiba which needs a little work and a Lenovo tablet PC which really needs to be used more. x3

I have a 4-year-old Acer craptop and a HP desktop which isn't much better, but games are playable. Neither one has very good specs, and quite frankly, it annoys the living <insert word here> out of me.

Got a new Dell with my graduation money, probably going to have to last a couple years.
Admittedly not a computer guy but as far as I can tell it's pretty good.

I got my first computer shortly after Vista came out. My dad bought it when he was drinking and was like "here you go" and it was a piece of crap. I now have a cheap but solid HP laptop.

That sucks. <.< My old laptop was great but had an unbelievably sucky graphics chip that wouldn't let me play Starcraft II despite the computer in general being far more high-end than computers that could play it.

That's the only problem I've confronted with this computer. In June I had to send it back to get fixed because the graphics card failed. I currently don't have sound because it screwed up again. I think that's the reason

*laughs* I got it in '93 or '94, I think, but it was probably about a decade old at that point.

Diss, you probably got that computer in the year I was born.

I remember in 07' 500 Gigabytes was a lot to have on a computer, now you can have multiple Terabytes on a computer. Of course, in 93' a gigabyte probably wasn't even imaginable to have on a single personal computer.

This is my first computer that I bought with my money and that is only for me! (I LOVE IT!!!)

I'm hoping to try and get as much out of this laptop as possible (including Minecraft) but sadly some stuff doesn't work all that well on netbooks... But hey, my computer still ROCKS!

I remember our first computer being DOS-BASED, and we thought it was fantastic that we could play Wheel of Fortune, and be in awe of a heavily pixelated Vanna White. This was probably 12 years ago.. it was too long.

Same, but it's such a tiny laptop...so thin, too, but still somewhat powerful, compared to desktops back in the olden days(6 years ago), and better than the pentinum-4 processor. :U

What I hate is how I lost ALL of my progress in Farcry 2, and Oblivion. I was almost through Knights of the Nine! I was able to Run Farcry 2 on very high with minimal lag so it was great for gaming. I was thinking of getting Crisis, see if that would work.

It should. I'm able to run Farcry 2 that well, and can play Crysis at a decent resolution on High. It's a very enjoyable game. x3

lol, it's faster than my iPad is, and is about equally as fast as my desktop for the most part, depending on the web page, like if it has a lot of useless ads and all that garbage on it, then it would be slower. The only downside is the graphics card isn't powerful enough for Minecraft to run smoothly without a whole boatload of mods on it. (But hey, my friend is making me a game to play personally [such a nice guy he is!] so I won't have to worry about that at all for much longer) As for the size, it's PERFECT for me. the screen isn't overwhelming, and offers more privacy that a big-huge-massive screen like some laptops have. (The HD display ain't bad, either ;) )

Well that saddens me to find out, also they are making a Crysis remake for consoles, its just a Crysis 2 clone. Not worth it.
